Just stating a fact here, but Floor Jansen, singing for Nightwish, officially shut down the "Who's the Best Nightwish singer?" debate, when she sang Phantom of the Opera on Beste Zangers in 2019. Literally, that video was the most-watched video of 2019, in a 24-hour period. My personal favorite "underdog" band is an independent band from Ukraine called Ignea. They are one of the few metal bands than sing in a language other than English, having release two songs on the same album: Chorna Polnya in Ukrainian, and í Tokuni in Faroese. My last group is Unleash the Archers, from Vancouver, British Columbia. They are the heir-apparent to the Throne That Maiden Built. And their most recent album, _Abyss,_ will probably become a metal classic at some point. These are my Top 3 singers -- however, each one you've mentioned here has tremendous talent, and every one works really hard to stay up in their respective bands, from Tatiana to Su-Metal. Keep rocking, and stay metal! 🤘🤘

Su never fails on live. Perfect, powerful, unique, a wonderful soprano and never fails live and is so perfect that even criticized, she elegantly ignored a guy who disrespected her at an award. Su at the age of 23, she is admired and respected for her immense talent, her vocal control, her powerful stage presence and her ability to control the crowds. Being praised by great metal musicians she is the Diamond of Japan and together with Moametal after 2 strokes with the departure of Yui and the death of Mikio Babymetal got up and continued moving on, continues to conquer territories and grow in the middle of international metal, pride of Japanese metal Babymetal continues to be still one of the greatest references for new bands. Suzuka Nakamoto deserves her place as a metal goddess for all the work and dedication resulting from years of effort.

Good list, very interesting. There is nothing controversial, creepy or fetishy about BABYMETAL (anything but in fact, they have always been age appropriate, no exposed skin with their costumes, no dubious or 'sexy' dance moves in their choreo ... this is all deliberate and has always been the case), they are just pure talent and loads of hard work. They were not considered too old for Jpop Idol either (they started as a sub-unit of a Jpop Idol group), their producer spotted Su-metal's potential and thought she would be wasted singing Jpop and had the idea of a fusion metal-Jpop band with her fronting it and he formed and developed the whole thing around her with her vocal talents and stage presence. The range of different vocal styles she masters, with just how diverse their catalogue is, is also quite amazing.

@@pedjavukmirovic6770 It is only creepy in the minds of those with creepy minds. 20 years ago I'd have agreed with you about dance in metal, but this choreo serves as a bridge between the band and the crowd, it isn't just girls wiggling their arses to take your mind off bland music like you'd see in western pop. Plus it's a damned sight more entertaining than watching bored blokes standing round just playing their guitars and occasionally headbanging. Listen to 'BxMxC', 'Shanti Shanti Shanti' and 'Rondo of Nightmare' and then tell me she doesn't do different vocal styles. If you don't like the music that's fine, it doesn't work for everybody, but don't deny the talent and hard work.

Tatiana Shmailyuk From Jinjer and Courtney Laplante from spiritbox. No one and I mean no one can touch those two, they have taken over the game and are even better than most male singers and screamers. They should have been front and center on your thumbnail lol

Hate to disagree, but in terms of singing, very few come close to Brittney Slayes of Unleash the Archers. She is versatile in terms of style, and is keeping old-school '80s power metal alive. Floor Jansen is still good, and maturing. However, another Ukrainian voice, Helle Bogdanova from Ignea. She also sings both cleans and growls. Her clean voice is much clearer and much more ethereal than Tatiana's. Not saying Tatiana doesn't have talent, but she is not "at the top of the game." She's good, but not so good that other singers get compared to her, for her technical skill or versatility.

Not a bad list, nevertheless too short, because of the large scale and more different kind of metal genres (symphonic, sopranic, black, dark, goth, death, folk, grunge, and so on). There are more great female fronted metal singers. You've already mentioned four iconic Dutch ladies, but I've to add also Charlotte Wessels (Delain), Dianne van Giersbergen (Ex Libris, Xandria), and Zora Cock (Blackbriar). And this is only the Netherlands .....
