i read an article and apparently this women's march was the largest ever that has occurred protesting an inauguration by quite a lot. also at the end of the day, not one single arrest was made. this is so important and powerful, not only because we are standing up for what we believe in and what we think is right, but we are also doing it in a peaceful and diplomatic way that goes straight against trump's ideals and everything he stands for. also heard that there were over 600 sister marches to the one in washington. here in australia we definitely heard all about/were actively involved in the sydney protest, and are so proud of what has occurred in washington. this rendition of the song has me in goosebumps, and honestly it fills me with so much hope and pride and empowerment seeing us unite like this.

I must give credit where credit is due, it wouldn't have been possible without pro Sharia law event organiser Linda Sarsour, it is humbling to know that the women's march leader supports the subjugation women in the middle east, SO proud.

Thank you for this hearfelt and lovely song! Why? So many women are afraid to voice their opinions. I see it in my old self and in friends who are still stuck on not offending, trying to be the good girls our parents expected us to be. This song, this march, has given a voice for many women who are finally speaking up for what has been deep in their hearts. Look out world! I am so excited🌈

Its raining here in New Zealand and I am minding my own business listening to Elvis smoothly singing moody blue about a girl he thought he knew. The singing king wearing his bling and doing his thing was a caring guy. I am told that he wasn't bold with his heart of gold and didn't want to be president but Donny does. I love Elvis but Donny Don Don is the one who is can get us out of this mess. The guy isn't perfect but honey he loves you. I've seen fire, I've seen rain but let me explain. God has appointed him for this time. Flukes like this just don't happen. It's meant to be. Come on baby go with it. Give the man a chance. Moody blue tell me who I'm talking to, you're like night and day and it's hard to say which one is you. Moody blue tell me am I getting through. Go USA go go.

@kaelingoodwin76897 жыл бұрын
@Chris Jones Women's equality involves a lot of issues. A few specific ones? Maintaining reproductive choice. Maintaining the protections of the Violence Against Women Act. Not having rape kits sit around untested for years. Not being taxed extra for being a woman (in many states, women's sanitary products are apparently considered luxuries and taxed as such). Not being charged more for healthcare because we're women (a protection that will be lost if Obamacare is repealed). Those are just a few that came to mind. This isn't a Constitutional right or even legally enforceable in any way (free speech is important and I wouldn't want this legally enforced), but I'd add having basic respect from our President in terms of how he talks about us and to us would be wonderful. He is a role model for millions of boys and girls and he sets the tone for what is and is not acceptable more than he probably even knows. It wasn't just about Trump, though. This march also was designed to be intersectional in nature, so it wasn't just things specific to gender that were at the heart of this march. It was also about racial injustices and inequality, LGBTQ issues, xenophobia, etc.
