I have also seen rings you can wear that emit a high pitch alarm sound when you push the button. Some have the button on the bottom so you can still press it if your hands are tired, supposedly. Some have GPS built in so when you press it, someone can find you. I though those were pretty cool, especially for college girls walking around campus at night.

Just because the weapon looks cosmetically cute, it doesn't become a "women's weapon" or good for women weapon. The knuckle duster / stun gun kinda range-less weapon brings the woman very close to the attacker, which is the last thing you want.

Agree with comment above, plus people these days don't wanna get involved. Also depends where you live cuz I'm telling you now that trick will not work in NY lol. One, everyone screams in NY and last but not least, they literally don't care if a kid is being beaten to death with a machete like how it went in the Bronx. Still makes me sick and everyone there think they slick by acting like they care days after when on the moment of the grim day, they didn't give a shit. Didn't even bother calling police.

I'm in AU, civilians are not allowed to carry pepper spray, stun guns, or knives. I still carry a small utility knife despite the laws. Not easily accessed though. When out on my evening walks I carry a rather hefty torch. It is powered by 3 x D cells and is incredibly intense when flashed in your eyes. I love it. No only can I see where I'm going in the darker areas but I can defend myself beautifully with it. My father taught me several tricks for personal defence. He was an army medic in his younger years.

a couple of years ago, I got my wife and my daughter-in-law each a kubaton, and a key ring nuck similar to that kitty one, but solid brass, and a bit heavier. then I taught them both how to target areas for maximum effect. Since they were not trained in self defense I taught them the ice pick method, because it can do a lot of damage, and does not require the most accuracy.

A pocket knife is more effective and more legal
@OtherThanIntendedPurpose3 жыл бұрын
@@calebbionda4667 no, on both points. if you use a knife in self defense, you are now assaulting with a deadly weapon, and that opens up risk of criminal and civil issues, and also you are now dealing with unknown infection issues from the blood exposure. a non lethal force multiplier is legal where we live, and is very effective for discouraging aggressors.
@Toxica_Intoxicada3 жыл бұрын
Yup, its why i carry a keychain kubaton and given kubatons to my sister and mom and aways carry theirs. I almost feel sorry for any douch who wants to lay their hands on any good person with a kubaton. Hope they got strong cheek bones otherwise douch will have to rely on shake meals through straws for a while. I used to carry a knife as main defense. Though i still carry a pocket knife, it's not my first choice for defense anymore because dumb laws talking about "was it reasonable" as if we had time to assess attackers intentions which is stupid and has nothing related to the real world.

Thanks for covering some female centered stuff Jack!! That kitty key chain is pretty cool. I'm going to look into that. I'm curious to know if you've seen the Cold Steel Honeycomb hairbrush dagger. I saw them at an outdoors show a little while back and I was tempted to pick one up. It looks like a normal round hairbrush but the brush part comes off to expose a dagger that's built into the handle. I believe it's polymer. It seemed pretty cool and looked like a good way to carry a weapon in a purse that no one would think twice about. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on these if you have come across them. for the kitten thing, if put it with the keychain, why don't just use the keys to strike? but that's possibly the only legal thing in some areas..
@gracefrederick81778 жыл бұрын
I have taken women's self defense classes that encourage using your keys to "rake" across an attacker's face. The only problem with that is I only carry a car key, a house key, and a gym barcode tag so I don't think that would be a very effective method. Maybe if I was a janitor with tons of keys that would be great. We were discouraged from punching with a key between our fingers because of keys slipping/shifting. If it's your only option then by all means use what you can, but if it's legal to carry a small self defense tool then it's highly preferable!

All females should have one. I have also seen small, barely noticeable scissors that could be used to stab at the eyes of an attacker. A rapist is going to forget about accosting you if he is down on all fours trying to find his eyeballs. Of course nothing says leave me alone like a bullet in the stomach. Or you can get a pocket knife. I'm 19 years old, and I know some karate, but a knife would still be a useful tool to scare people off. And even then I wouldn't try stabbing them as a first resort, but I'd use the glass breaker to smack them upside the head.
@Bad_Drivers_Caught_On_Dashcam6 жыл бұрын
@@angy101rulz Unfortunately, a pocket knife is pretty useless in a fight. Your Karate skills are far more useful and effective. Honestly, if someone pulled a pocket knife on me, I'd laugh and wouldn't be the least bit scared. You can do a hell of a lot more damage with martial arts moves than a small-bladed knife. Trying to knife someone with a small-bladed knife is like using human pepper spray on a bear. It'll just piss off your opponent more and is not likely to cause more than small lacerations which won't slow down an attack.
