Great info! I'm definitely getting the Ironman lift for mine. Do you have any rubbing with the 245/65 tires? I also want to upgrade to that size? Thanks!

I’m curious on something, Subaru has new headlights technology, it’s called the SHR(steering Response Headlights). Does giving it a 1inch/2inch lift effect it in anyway or form? I am not necessarily comfortable blinding people as I work graveyard. Thanks for any response.

Thank you for the info. Thinking to do the same mods. Concern about mpg hit. What is the mpg you are getting now? Thank you

Any thught on Torq master differential to improve on the a AWD system?
@wildernessnorthwest9604 Жыл бұрын
💯. Would cost about $1100 for parts and labor so it’s on my list but might take me a bit to get there 😂.

I'm think of getting the Ironman for my next car outback wilderness. Where did you get them installed in OR that you recommend.
@wildernessnorthwest9604 Жыл бұрын
Get them installed by the company itself at Ironman 4x4 in Sherwood Oregon! I figure they know their own product the best and how to install it. Maybe cheaper options out there though.

What's the ground clearance after the two inch lift
@wildernessnorthwest9604 Жыл бұрын
After the lift ground clearance improved to 10.3 inches. Which is a bit over 1” on wilderness edition. My larger tires added about .7” bringing it up to 11”. Addition of skid plates reduced ground clearance to 10”, and 9.6” at the rear differential.

Those measurements were taken at lowest points so they are minimum ground clearance.

My wife’s 23 Forester has a 1-2” lift with 245s. Coming from a stock 17 Outback. My first time driving it(2nd time riding in it) was down a fairly rough(24” washouts) mile long road to a waterfall. As a competent enough driver I wasn’t too worried. The tires rubbed against the wheel well medium-hard a few times. I kept thinking, “you should’ve looked at the approach angle and clearance, dumbass.” Well, after reaching the bottom, indeed I should have. It’s a miracle I didn’t scratch the bumper. The nose on the 2023 Forester is TWICE as long as it should be. To Subaru- Very disappointed, gentlemen. Very disappointed.

Yeah the nose is definitely too long. Not as bad as outback or cross trek though. Also better than most in its segment except jeeps and bronco sport. Hopefully in future designs they improve it though. Would be a beast if they do.
