What! Ok I agree with 99 percent of your opinions but this was an Ok movie. It was not bad. I think how they managed to bring the villain into the series was a good take. You seem to be just hating on this film cause of the constant disappoint from other films. But this is the one time I will have to disagree

The movie needs an After Credits scene where Random Handsome Man gets fired from his job due to going AWOL, gets dumped by his lover because he stopped being in contact and was seen galavanting with a beautiful woman, gets on the wanted list because he got caught in CCTV stealing a plane, and, finally, goes bankrupt after he uses all his savings trying to find out why he can't remember what happened in the past few weeks and why his life is suddenly in ruins.

Finally saw WW84 and have mostly forgotten what the movie was about. I'm glade I did not spend $30 on my streaming service to see it. I'm glade I did not go see it at the local drive-in that was still open. I'm sorry that I paid Red Box $1.80 for this movie. The characters were shallow, rude, and stereo-types. Before we made it to the mall scene the girls knocking the bride out of the grooms hands and over the railing would never happen in 1984 in 2020/2021 yes but not 1984. It was like someone saw some pictures from 1984 and said I can write for that time period, but injected all the messed up, selfishness of 2020. So the film could have been helped, by cutting out about 30 to 45 minutes and putting in a 5 minute scene about how the god that lies, that created the wish stone, insured that all wishes were evil or selfish. My wife hated the movie and felt like the writer/director was trying to rewrite history. She would have walked away from it if we had not paid for it. She did say she was glade we did not spend more than the $1.80 on the movie. She went so far as to say that if I had bought the movie she would have thrown it out because it made her mad at how everyone was portrayed as being selfish and greedy. One of the things that made her made was even Wonder Woman was greedy as Steve had stolen the body of someone else and wonder Woman was OK with that.

I have to agree. I did a quick comparison between Wonder Woman and WW84. Directory: Patty Jenkins - both films Produced by: Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder. WW original has one more producer. WW84 had 3 additional producers Starring: Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. The main thing I noticed was Allan Heinberg was the Screenplay writer and the Story was by Zack Snyder, Allan Heinberg, and Jason Fuchs for Wonder Woman. The WW84 had three people doing the screenplay: Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and Dave Callaham, and the Story was by Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns. The possible problem here is that Patty Jenkins only had three written films under her belt two short films and a movie called Monster. And when you have a Director writing the story and the screen play, if they are not good it could be an issue.

After listening to Nerdrotic, I started to remember a few things about this movie, it was the Quantum Leap reference. the movie felt like they took a bunch of scenes from various sources and said make sure these are in the movie. 1) The golden armor is from the - Kingdom Come comic 2) The under the truck scene - Indiana Jones 3) The trying on clothes - Wonder Woman (first movie) 4) Max on TV to the world - DC Comics (forgot the comic) makes the world forget he existed, so no one remembers he is villain. 5) Flying above the clouds - Superman - Christopher Reeves. 6) White House fight - any Jackie Chan movie where he is protecting an innocent during the fight. 7) Steve in someone else's body - Quantum Leap I'm sure there are others but the movie is very forgettable.

@@Scarecrow2311 That was training to fight, as in her Warrior training. This was a race over obstacles. You saw her running and jumping as a child in the first film. Diana wasn't training in that opening scene. What's really frustrating about the critics of this film, is how much they misrepresent the movie. She did use a bow and arrow, too but that doesn't mean she'd received formal Warrior training of the sort Antiope commenced later.

There have been news stories in which home intruders murder a family and then happily raid the fridge, joking with each other without conscience as they eat. That's exactly what Steve and Diana were doing as they joked about the guy who's existence was obliterated, callously critiquing various items in his apartment. It didn't make any sense. The means by which Steve returned should have horrified them both and been cause enough for Diana to take back her wish, and for the previously self-sacrificing Steve to demand she take it back. These frivolous, self-centered imposters were nothing like the Diana and Steve we knew from the first movie.

@Matthew Harris Yes. This is what happens when they've been massaging the director's 'script' for over a year and can't do anything with it. At this point, with a deadline looming, they just shrugged, said 'fukk it' and phoned the messenger service just to get it in and over with. With some projects, especially projects that were never thought through, you can't fix them. It appears the director had enough pull to write the 'script,' but didn't have the talent for it, made a mess, and it couldn't be fixed.

BRUCE: When I was a Child I had a dream, a dream I never forgot...It was the last time I was ever Truly happy. I remember sitting in front of the television and being prompted to make a wish. I wished, I wished they were right there sitting next to me in that big empty home. I closed my eyes and I spoke at a Whisper, "I want to have my parents back." Seemingly as soon as I was done I felt a warmth to my right and my left. I quickly opened my eyes and like a miracle there they were looking down at me with their loving eyes. When I awoke there was only darkness...That was the last time I remember truly being happy. DIANA: Yeah crazy dream

What's hilarious about this is: In Man of Steel, Superman snaps Zod's neck, something that is almost universally agreed upon as something Superman would never do. Now, in the comics, Wonder Woman snaps Maxwell Lord's neck, but in the movie, just makes him feels bad and regret his actions. Oh, the irony.

I know superhero movies traditionally dont make a lot of sense, but WW84 takes it to a new level and practically redefines the dictionary definitions of "stupid" and "nonsensical". Nothing matters, there are no stakes or logic, anything can happen at any time. Very boring.
