Finally saw WW84 and have mostly forgotten what the movie was about. I'm glade I did not spend $30 on my streaming service to see it. I'm glade I did not go see it at the local drive-in that was still open. I'm sorry that I paid Red Box $1.80 for this movie. The characters were shallow, rude, and stereo-types. Before we made it to the mall scene the girls knocking the bride out of the grooms hands and over the railing would never happen in 1984 in 2020/2021 yes but not 1984. It was like someone saw some pictures from 1984 and said I can write for that time period, but injected all the messed up, selfishness of 2020. So the film could have been helped, by cutting out about 30 to 45 minutes and putting in a 5 minute scene about how the god that lies, that created the wish stone, insured that all wishes were evil or selfish. My wife hated the movie and felt like the writer/director was trying to rewrite history. She would have walked away from it if we had not paid for it. She did say she was glade we did not spend more than the $1.80 on the movie. She went so far as to say that if I had bought the movie she would have thrown it out because it made her mad at how everyone was portrayed as being selfish and greedy. One of the things that made her made was even Wonder Woman was greedy as Steve had stolen the body of someone else and wonder Woman was OK with that.

I have to agree. I did a quick comparison between Wonder Woman and WW84. Directory: Patty Jenkins - both films Produced by: Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder. WW original has one more producer. WW84 had 3 additional producers Starring: Gal Gadot and Chris Pine. The main thing I noticed was Allan Heinberg was the Screenplay writer and the Story was by Zack Snyder, Allan Heinberg, and Jason Fuchs for Wonder Woman. The WW84 had three people doing the screenplay: Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and Dave Callaham, and the Story was by Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns. The possible problem here is that Patty Jenkins only had three written films under her belt two short films and a movie called Monster. And when you have a Director writing the story and the screen play, if they are not good it could be an issue.

After listening to Nerdrotic, I started to remember a few things about this movie, it was the Quantum Leap reference. the movie felt like they took a bunch of scenes from various sources and said make sure these are in the movie. 1) The golden armor is from the - Kingdom Come comic 2) The under the truck scene - Indiana Jones 3) The trying on clothes - Wonder Woman (first movie) 4) Max on TV to the world - DC Comics (forgot the comic) makes the world forget he existed, so no one remembers he is villain. 5) Flying above the clouds - Superman - Christopher Reeves. 6) White House fight - any Jackie Chan movie where he is protecting an innocent during the fight. 7) Steve in someone else's body - Quantum Leap I'm sure there are others but the movie is very forgettable.

There have been news stories in which home intruders murder a family and then happily raid the fridge, joking with each other without conscience as they eat. That's exactly what Steve and Diana were doing as they joked about the guy who's existence was obliterated, callously critiquing various items in his apartment. It didn't make any sense. The means by which Steve returned should have horrified them both and been cause enough for Diana to take back her wish, and for the previously self-sacrificing Steve to demand she take it back.
