Only thing left for the movie is for it to preform well at the box office and everything will be amazing.

LOKorra it's currently at 97% on RT... this will probably make at least 150 mill or more first weekend
@coolmeransom7 жыл бұрын
anthony cheesman okay I'm gonna come back next week and laugh at your dumbass when it makes 150+ lol. If shitty suicide squad can make 140 mill opening weekend, them ww can definitely get over 150.
@lokorra4837 жыл бұрын
anthony cheesman well just because it was predicted to make 65M doesn't mean it's right, Pirates was predicted to make 80M and made 60M, Bay Watch was predicted to make 40M and made 18M, there's no competition at the box office right now and the RT score for it are great with a mid 90s, I think the pieces are lining up perfectly for a 100 plus Million opening.

With the good review and good press for Wonder Woman! It will have the biggest opening in the DCEU! Now more people want to see it!
@andrewgiordano68807 жыл бұрын
Prototype DCUO it's not getting to 150. Good reviews don't automatically make a huge appeal to a movie (Winter Soldier got amazing reviews-$97 million opening). It will most likely get $90-$110 million opening, which is still amazing for its budget and for a solo first movie.

Pirates Skull, it's clear that you're a hard core Depp fan-hence you having the Pirates Skull as your avatar. So as soon as she said she didn't like the last Pirates movie (which I thought was unnecessary) you got a deep hatred of her. If you don't like Grace, don't watch the channel and then vent your spleen in the comments section. Or, conversely, do your own channel. Just a opinion, much as you are entitled to yours. I say keep it up, Grace! At least she's passionate and knows her source material, gives us her viewpoint and invites us to go away and form our own.

I think the difference is this is true feminism... its the natural story. There is no concerted effort to raise a female character to make a point of it and to fill the quota of a strong female or minority cast/character the characters are simply crafted equally and wrote equally. That is what equality is not whitewashing not rearranging a story to make a point of social justice.

J Dog this movie would seem to be representing 'egalatarianism' more than 'feminism', which is DEFINITELY a good thing!

Jesus, youre one of those sjw types huh. no theyre not. that may be true back in the 70's, now your movement has been taken over by crazy, bigoted people. and honestly feminism is not needed in the west, women have more rights and privileges than men do nowadays, domestic disputes are favored towards women, genital integrity, conscriptional immunity, they are never assumed to be predators, society likely to believe women who claim they are raped, women's shelters but none for men, etc. and theyre still asking for more. i dare you, name me one right that women dont that men have? you dont know what youre talking about. theyre not the same you ignoramus.

This movie made me realize the beauty of man and women working as a team to rebuilt an already broken world of divide and differences. This is the first film in Gal Gadot's acting career in which she received top billing. This is the first female-directed live-action film to have a $100 million+ budget. The film's estimated budget was $150 million. Patty Jenkins admitted that she didn't really think Gal Gadot would suit Wonder Woman at first, but that after paying attention to her she thought she was perfect for the role. No one addresses Diana as "Wonder Woman" throughout this entire film. The filmmakers cite the superhero films Superman (1978) and Batman Begins (2005), the Indiana Jones retro adventure films, the wartime film Casablanca (1942) and the Disney adventure film The Little Mermaid (1989) as an influence. Gal Gadot (Diana) and Emily Carey (young Diana) share the same birthday, April 30. Diana's scenes in London are an homage to Superman (1978), where Superman encounters urban life for the first time: the protagonist gets a disguise of a formal bespectacled attire, stops a mugging attack and has some trouble with a revolving door. This is the first female-dominant superhero film in twelve years since Elektra (2005).

Gui Deandrade It's funny how you know the inner workings of the directors and the intimate reasons for creative choices. Don't come at me with that bullshit. Inglourious Basterds is one of my favorite movies and it's definitely my favorite Quentin Tarantino movie. And TCM is my favorite movie channel. So you just made me even more excited for this movie. Which I didn't know was possible. On a side note feminism shouldn't be represented by 1 point of view. We need all kids of examples of strong women. For me one of the best examples of feminism is someone that most people wouldn't agree as a feminist. I am talking about Cersei Lannister. People will argue that she can't be a feminist because she is "evil". It's like where did that rule come from? Who said that to be a feminist you have to be good? That is the point of feminism, women can do WHATEVER they want without being told "you can't do that because you are a lady". That includes being evil (maybe it's not great to be evil, but if someone is that doesn't make them not strong, or independent) or sexual, or none sexual. They can be intelectual creatures or airheads. I want to see all kinds of aspects of feminism and femininity being brought to the big and small screen. Otherwise you are NOT representing all types of women. Another side note my top 3 films of all-time are The Kid 1921, Sunset Boulevard 1950, and Monster 2003.

Glad to see your opinion change on Wonder Woman's character. What makes her interesting is the duality between war and peace. That's what makes her unique. Her character is about balancing the darker aspects of our nature with the better angels of our nature. Having her just be a warrior is extremely limiting and takes away her uniqueness since there are other characters who can fill that role. She's a force for change that is influenced by the echoes of the past, and the duality of her nature illustrates that point.

Grace, I just saw Wonder Woman and I have to say I loved it just as much as you do. It is definitely up in to top for me as well. I think it's probably one of the best superhero origin stories, along with Batman Begins and Man of Steel. P.S This move is not a Dark Knight level of movie, so don't expect to be mind-blond by anything other than how beautiful Gal Gadot is and how perfectly she fits into the role of Wonder Woman. The movie is great for the genre but do not expect it to be something that it's not!

I like the way she structures her videos. I like the ordering of topics. It keeps you on track and then can give someone a better overall understanding of what they will be seeing without spoilers.

That was a nice review. And that was a great shout out to a super-fan, may she rest in peace.

As soon as her theme played and she appeared in BvS she immediately became my favourite DC hero and nothing can change that.

I just saw wonder woman in 2D. I must concur with your review on this one. I wasn't expecting much considering how shallow and action packed recent superhero movies are. But this one just felt more. It has a soul, a heart, a beautifully crafted story, an actress who can deliver. I have to say Gal's got that on screen presence and charisma that's hard to find in actor/actresses. When she walks on screen, you couldn't help but focus on her. I think we are witnessing the birth of a star here. Best wishes to her, and will see this movie one more time. Always enjoyed your reviews. Thank you!

Grace, I disagree with your reviews MOST of the time. Today, we have a truce. Good review :)

Pulp Ted Same, but her reviews are always just so interesting. She articulates her own points very well and is very invested in finding out why movies succeed or fail. Her total immersion into the movie business keeps me coming back

+Rose Blossom.. Truue.. That's the same reason why I like her reviews, even though I don't agree with a lot of them..

Rose Blossom her "movie math" keeps me coming back. Her reviews become opinions though and I strongly disagree with her personal opinions. But her box office math is amazing

Reviews ARE opinions. I don't agree with a lot of her reviews either, but that' also just my opinions.

Grace will you talk about Saïd Taghmaoui in your spoiler review?? He is of Moroccan descent just like I am and I thought it was amazing to see this kind of representation in a movie like this.

Thoughts and prayers for the Bradley family. xox Facing illness with dignity and courage and still being able to see the good in life despite the terrible challenge is true heroism and the ultimate embodiment of human strength. Thanks for sharing Grace, it was a fitting ending to your review for such a hopeful and awe inspiring film. XXX

saturncrush Yep, Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg and Jason Fuchs (i think)

saturncrush yup...he also casted Gadot. Watch her interview with Fallon. For all the hate Snyder gets he does some things right. They are trying to play catch up to marvel still. Now that they are maturing people can start to fill out roles they thrive I and we may see overall quality grow. I personally like his sense of scope and the physicality he brings to heroes. Other things like pacing not so much.

Grace; thanks for the moving and genuine tribute at the end - a daring yet vulnerable move that probably echos what you're picking up from the film itself. William
