@@ClipsByLaura I like the no talking ASMR in the background while I read or work. And the Whisper ASMR to fall asleep to. But my mom would read or tell me stories when I was really little in a soft or whisper voice so I have a different reaction. Also when I was little ASMR was triggered when people played with my hair or drew on my back. Some people have pleasant reactions some people don't. I'm guessing that you have kind of a nails on a chalkboard reaction to ASMR?

At the end you mentioned us giving our suggestions/ideas but I wasn’t sure where. Even though commenting on KZbin has been the catalyst for many a dumpster fire, I’ll take my chances by leaving suggestions here: 1) Great job! I learned a lot by listening and I hope it was therapeutic for you two too. (Especially with the G&T. Cheers.) 2) Celinde, as far as I’ve learned from studying Mandarin, “Qing” is pronounced kinda like “Ching” like “Ayyy, I got my paycheck! Cha- Ching!” 3) Thank you for mentioning a (badass) woman of color. It’s a small thing but it means a lot. 4) Here are two recommendations for you book-lovers that you may consider reading if not chatting about: - Roxanne Gay has a collection of essays called “Bad Feminist” that really stood out to me. Gay’s tone feels more casually anecdotal than that of the next book I'm going to mention so it may be more palatable. - Chapter 5 in the book “Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People about Race” by Reni Eddo Lodge is centered on “The Feminism Question.” I recommend at least reading that chapter, as many white women (Emma Watson included) have found it to make them a good kind of uncomfortable. You may get something out of it too even if you don't chat about it publicly. No matter what the internet says, you are entitled to have private thoughts :P

Dear Carrie, dead Celinde, thank you so much for this podcast! I'm not usually one for podcasts but this was exactly what I needed - for women, by women, so wholesome that it feels healing. I really enjoyed the story about the pirate queen. Also sometimes I feel like being that woman on the Tube saying "Don't let the bastards get you down!" to every woman on the planet.
