I still remember the horror of watching a video of a tsunami when I was about 14 and seeing a person run out of a building, see the wave and run back inside 2 seconds before the wave hit and flattened the 3 story building like a pancake. I cried and kept thinking about how I had just watched someone die. I can't imagine living through the actual experience of a tsunami.

Well 85% of people from my village died, both my grandparents,an aunt (17yo) and a cousin (9yo) were amongst them,not counting countless other relatives and friends. It was surreal, I saw my grandma's corpse on the 4th day, my aunt also found within 2 months if I'm not mistaken identified by her bracelet, my cousin found 2 years later when the unidentified graves were digs and my neighbor happens to be there and recognized her dress, my grandpa however is never found. I was 8 when it all happened, Sometimes I imagine how wonderful my life would be if they were alive and my village still exists.

And we have pond next to my house, the water of that pond came our from pond.. We were first time experienced this type of event in our life.. Even our grandparents didn't experienced anything like this.. We were very scared.. We also never heard the word tsunami.. Next day we figured out the real distractions of the event.. The number of death people was raising in a manner we never experienced before.. Eben till this day my eyes gets numb while remembering those days.. God bless everyone.. If you are told to evacuate but you decided to go closer to danger then you ask for it don’t blame the people who tried to save lives
@lisagress50092 жыл бұрын
Most natural disasters happen without warning for evacuation! To go the opposite in Florida we have time to prepare however it is difficult for many to get to safer places. Shelters aren't equipped for the elderly with needs. Not to mention people on a fixed income can't just take off if they don't have family close by to afford the hotel costs!! Anyone with common sense would know that there are few shelters and people are very often turned away due to max compasity.Thats usually where the death toll climbs! Not to say there isn't those few that choose to ride out a storm,but that's on them. Most want to evacuate,but can't! With hurricanes you can semi prepare,but can't be prepared for the massive tornados that come with it. Tsunami, avalanche, tornados, black ice storms, earth quakes etc you can't prepare. Nobody asks for anything to happen to them from a natural occurance!! Never heard of anyone going " closer to danger" either!!! Most want to get out of dodge!! I also would hope that nobody would blame anyone who tried to save lives!!

What about the volcano on Grand Canaria that mountain has a crack right across the volcano and it is slowly sliding apart and if it goes catastrophically then it is possible that we might be saying goodbye to the Eastern Seaboard of the USA it will generate a mega tsunami that will travel across the Atlantic ocean and there is nothing to stop the wave before it hits the east coast of North and south America and it could happen at any time. The geologists are monitoring the split but the one thing that they are sure of is that it will eventually let go and basically one side of Grand Canaria will slide down and into the ocean!!

@trespire2 жыл бұрын
Because it's not in English, therefor doesn't follow gramatical rules of the English language. English has no sound for (t)so͞o
@emilybach2 жыл бұрын
It's a Japanese word. The syllable tsu has a very soft T at the start. Su has a much sharper S sound. The difference is slight but noticeable for those more familiar with Japanese. English borrowed the word and since the syllable tsu doesn't exist in English most people pronounce it with a su sound instead. Hence the silent T.

Have we crossed the point of no return in terms of damaging the planet? There is no such point. We need to trust that our thought, which is our greatest quality, can change nature. We only need to understand the direction to which we should aim our thoughts. What should we think about? What condition or state should we aspire to and ask for? In order to save our planet, we should think about positive human connections. That is, how can we, in our connections, keep nature safe? How can we all together protect our world? If we truly wish to better our planet, then we should see people holding a concern for how to positively connect everywhere that we look. It has nothing to do with recycling or other activities that we commonly associate with as being sustainable. If we come closer to and consider each other, that we will reach an entirely organic, perfectly connected and round state, then the negative forces will disappear from the world. We need to understand that if we start thinking better about each other, then the planet will recover from all harm, because our thoughts are the strongest force in nature. Likewise, our negative thoughts about each other are entirely to blame for damaging the planet. That is why the more we recycle and invest in energies and activities that we commonly think of as being sustainable, the worse our planet becomes. Nothing will work to benefit us until we reach a state where our attitude changes toward each other for the better to protect and improve our planet.
