Don't know if this is why a dollar was left behind but back in the day it was customary to leave a dollar bill outside of a mine to signify someone went in to explore. They would place a rock to keep it from blowing away and collect upon leaving.

That set up at the 27 minute mark was the roaster. As they had to roast the cinnabar to extract the mercury. That building that looks like a pantry with the vented roof was the dynamite shack. Always love and enjoy all of Your videos.

Hey Huss, I was going to leave this comment on your other video today, but it said No Comments !! Your talk of rattlesnakes and scorpions made me think that you should probably pack some Umeboshi Plums with you. They can be life saving for bites from poisonous anything. I have used them on numerous snakebites, scorpions, bee & wasp stings, spider bites and mosquitos. Super good for drawing the poison out. Outback approved and three thumbs up.

Sarah, thanks for the adventures, love these miner shack videos. It's really interesting and inspiring, great history of the people who made this country. Back in the day a lot of people had no idea what harm they were doing to the environment. I see the same old creations making snide remarks, your doing just fine love how your channel is growing.
