OK, I've seen several of these cabins and this one is definitely the nicest. It does lack a few things that I wish I could add. But this one seems to be the cleanest. I think EVERYONE loves the Geologists Cabin in Butte Valley, but this one is cleaner than that one. BTW I loved your music on this. Good DV music.

Thank you for the visit!!! Glad to see the beautiful stove base I built around maddogs stove, my sons bulletin board from when he was a child(now 27) our rat proof tupperware in kitchen, 2 green fireking coffee cups from my mom and dads 1956 wedding, my 2004 sign in book left in 2005, the art deco outside from 2000, my national geograpic books, my life magazine poster board, my corner table built out of construction scrap.....list will go on and on. Original resident now at the Keeler store. 2005 flood damaged water system. Water was incredible. After a good rain that canyon is like Hawaii. Return after a rain. Please clean, protect and respect these gems. I will be there in December to clean. Thank you!!! Scootertrash

1972 spent the night up Beveridge cany at the stamp mill. Acess via Keynot canyon. Found cases of TNT (no primers). No water. We spent the night in the wood cabin upslope from the stamp mill. Found large quartz crystals in Keynot mind tailings. Used to go to the hot springs before it became D V.

3:00 There used to be a locked gate just ahead. It had been vandalized & repaired many countless times. 3:31 The Mobile used to have a light wired to the generator to brighten up the front entrance. 4:18 This is where the propane operated power generator was. The cabin had running water & electricity ~ lights in the kitchen, living room, and bathroom. A kill switch for the generator was located inside near where the log book is now. 4:47 Actually this is where the owner at the time slept - the guests would sleep in the main house. I have slept on that couch multitudes of times through the 80's & 90's. 5:16 The stone porch wasn't there in the 90's. 5:30 The original stove was a 55 gallon drum inside a very old ice chest or something, and it worked really good! 5:50 The small bench with the jar in the corner is where we put the portable AM radio. The wire antenna was connected to it through the window. It was really, really boring at night without the radio, and was our main source of info concerning the weather report and news of the "outside" world. 7:30 You left the log book open on the page where I wrote my email address. 7:54 On the left was a propane-powered refrigerator, in the window was a double sink where I would wash the dishes - all gone now :( 8:20 Everything worked in the bathroom into the mid-nineties. 8:53 In the early 80's I strung an antenna wire from the cabin, across the canyon to the south ridge on the other side of the wash. When the wind would blow more than 15 mph through the canyon, the wire would "sing". Without the long wire antenna, reception of AM radio stations were bleak to non-existent. 8:58 Sometime around 1985? there was a massive rock fall that washed down the canyon, partially taking out the road below the cabin. 11:21 In 1983 the owner and I took a helicopter to the town of Beveridge from the cabin (There is a story about a guy stealing many items from the town via a helicopter. I or the owner were not involved it that, we took nothing with us when we left. We did not have metal detectors or even shovels). I remember some buildings of the town was being washed in the canyon from the running water.

I once met the guy who called that cabin in Beveridge his home. His handle was "Jackass Andy". I remember one day he showed up in Saline and showed off his blasting caps. His adventures shut off the "cool springs" just east of the hot springs there. Back when I lived & worked in Death Valley 1979 - 1981, and spent a lot of time hanging out in Saline Valley. The talc mine you refer to was likely once owned by Glen & Alan Aiken, who I met when I chose to live in Keeler at around the same time. Glen is dead, but his son still lives (or lived) in Keeler, just below Cerro Gordo. They were the owners of the "Morningsun Mine & Mill site" back then. Glen was always excited to get new military surplus trucks 'n stuff. I think Alan (Glen's son) has moved away to stay with friends in Ridgecrest now. He's an old man now, older than me, and I'm 69. I love your adventuresome videos 🙂

Thanks for the very informative hike, really enjoyed it. I'll be riding down to Death Valley on motorcycles hopefully in Feb 2018 from N. Cal. Had planned the trip last year but was denied by rain on the first damn day. That's the problem planning a ride to the valley from N. Cal., you have to consider the weather, especially over the Sierra Nevadas, it's like two totally different weather scenarios. If I still had my cargo trailer I think it would be better to trailer the bike over the mountains and drop off outside of Reno and ride the rest of the way in. This time we are going to go the southern route over the Tehachapi mountains or through Lake Isabella, less chance of rain and warmer temps too. I like your presentation style and will be looking into more of your videos.

The truth doesn't create legends and urban myths. Amazes me no one ever mentions there was a known serial killer living and killing in the same town. No one mentions he was the nephew of the milk man. He delivered the milk. He killed several people with his hatchet and always used excessive force and took the same things from each scene. A few dollars, change, a pocket watch, leaving behind other things of value.

When my Dad passed away in 2008 I had to return to collect 2 of the green coffee cups. They were planned to be shooting targets.....couldnt do it!!! They were there a dozen years and glad to see they are still there. In 2012 somebody stole the rat proof tupperware and took to the hot springs. A visitor saw this and returned to Bev. Next trip will be to clean and repair bunk house. Used to be cool wood beds that I installed the same trip as the little corner table, made out of burned and varnished OSB plywood and 4x4s, even lined the outside with Barb wire for decoration. I see on the internet that the stolen beds are at East Jesus at Slab city salvation mountain. So no worry they are being used. Next set will not be so nice.
@Wonderhussy8 жыл бұрын
Dang, that sucks! I heard from someone at the hot springs that the Slabbers don't like East Jesus because they are "gentrifying" Slab City, LOL...that whole place is fascinating, but kinda scary
@scottwall46698 жыл бұрын
Well they have 2 beautiful beds stolen from Bev cabin. No worry as they are being used and folks can enjoy them. The 4X4s are from the movie set of High plains drifter, burned wood from the fictional town of Lago. Park service was removing all old lumber. I scored several truck loads of lumber, also used on Ozzie cabin in El Pasos. As you see, when visiting backwoods cabins please leave a plastic broom and dust pan. No corn brooms, rats eat them. Canned goods and trash bags. Always carry a pump up squirt bottle with 10 percent bleach-water to spray on floor. Kills Hanta and sends rats away. Same with Ivory flake soap, sprinkle around and rodents go elsewhere. At last stop leave the bleach bottle behind in a cabin.

Just loving watching your exploration videos. Most are places my wife and I drove past and never stopped at even though we always wanted to and before you knew it too much time went by. I am very appreciative WH and look forward to watching new videos of your adventures. If my wife and I still lived in Lake Havasu City, AZ I would have loved and I am sure my wife too would be to partner with you and I could bring my medal Detector and while you went on filming I could check for artifacts. I promise to only gawk at your beautiful physical form, but all jokes aside you have rekindled my wish to go back to the Desert Southwest. We have grown to love your great personality, your great videos, and narrations, also seeing that are 100% original body, no medical enhancements as you can't improve on perfection (LOL )., no having manufactured medically enhanced breasts and in that statement, I love seeing you with medically enhanced version! no inhibitions. Funny W.H. I see your beautiful physical form and appreciate it in a non-physical form, don't get me wrong my male reproductive parts still work very well and without hearing " that was more information that I did not need to hear LOL"! I or we would love to jump into a nice warm spring without the city lights and experience the sunset and rise of the beautiful stars My wife and I truly enjoyed your travels and adventures. I sent a request through your Facebook page and hope to hear back with the information I asked for and to have a more personal dialogue. I feel like I know you for many years as you are doing what I always dreamed of until I was severely injured in a work-related fall and landed on a 25 foot drop square in my spine at L4 & L5 leaving me with the worst injuries a person could ever fight through, some opening up to has been a daunting experience and your great personality and the services you provide on locations a lot of people would have loved to stop by but for some reason or reasons they were in fear exploring abandoned historical locations. I sent a private e-mail or message to you and I hope to get your answer soon and I will respect whatever you reply. God Bless and Happy New Year Wonder Hussy. My name is Luciano Grossi and my wife is Debbie. We hope after you check us out on Facebook under sunset117@yahoo.com we can initiate or begin a great friendship. I would love to hit a new exploration site with you as I wish to travel on my Vintage Honda GL500 Silverwing Interstate. It is very rare and I have never reached out to a person like this but please rest assure we are not sexual predators, we participate at our local Catholic Church and we both are able to enjoy the historical service you selflessly such a breath of fresh air. I have to say seeing your God Given Female form is beautiful and as I said the confidence you display and the comfort you also display is so sweet, so unique and I just love the fact that you are all natural and are someone we would love to call a friend. Look forward to hearing back on the flip side. Luv Deb & Lou - Salisbury, North Carolina.
