Wesley for 2024 here. Enough time has passed where I can watch my own work with new eyes. But not enough life has passed for it to feel different. Thanks for stopping by.

It feels different for me. This was my favorite Wong Fu video when I was a naive 13 year old - though I didn’t have much life experience, there’s a certain soul to this short that always drew me back to it. I’ve been blessed enough over this past decade to experience relationships that make me relate to this video more so than when I initially watched it, and it feels bittersweet to return after not having been here in a while. So thanks for not only creating this, but for coming back. I’ll be back again in another 10 years.

Man, thank you for the work you/the Wong Fu team put in. Your work truly helped a lot, you guys set the standard for balancing the sentimental and valuable with the masculine and pragmatic… at least for the short form skits I frequented when digesting my own experiences.

Bossthread 6 in some ways I think this shows true love. It doesn’t have to be romantic in nature. I think true love is something that doesn’t die. In this case, after all the years, he cares for her a lot still but he knows he needs to let her be to be happy. True love can be when you learn to love someone and not be with them anymore.

So much has changed in my life and I'm sure that it's the same for everyone. Can't describe the rush of emotions this particular video is able to conjure up.

Albeit, I did just move 4 months ago. We'll see what happens down the road. But, I feel like this is what's going to happen to us. And yeah, watching this a second time, 3 years later, the feelings are so different now and has touched me even more. Made me sadder :( Ah . Time will tell! I have cried so much at this short film because I am in a transition period of my life right now , where I have to leave old places and people and go into a big unknown . Since I will be leaving , my boyfriend and I decided it would be better to end our relationship on the day I will leave , so that these hurtful things won't happen to us . There are only few days left of this relationship and ...yeah this short movie made me sad

Ughhh I loved this short when it first came out but it hits different now, years later. Looking at Irene and Scott’s relationship, seeing how much time and distance can change things - especially things you’d thought would last forever, it’s so bittersweet. It makes me scared of losing people important to me in the future, but it also makes me thankful for the time we have together now. When Irene said they’d find themselves “somewhere like this”, oh gosh I cried because there won’t always be a somewhere like this. Be bold and tell people how much you love them when you do have that somewhere together :’)

It’s 2024 and I’m watching Wong Fu’s old (best) videos. This is one of my favorites: the story, the poem, the lighting, the photography, the actors, and the perfect music. It just struck me that he still has the Acura. Scott holds onto things, still “clueless”, still works at the shop, same values, still optimistic, but ultimately realistic and accepting that life goes on. Beautiful work Wesley!

I cried the first 5 times because, my gf broke up with me and my ex was bothering both of us and she thought my ex and I were secretly talking dirty and have interest in each other. And she told me to move on and still haven't, I showed her the texts I sent to make her stop and my ex keeps bothering us again. and she was so fed up with it that we broke up. and she randomly told me yesterday that she wanted to talk to my ex. and my ex was being mean to her and then my ex told her the truth and then she told me and I quote, since this was recently "I would hug you so tight and long right now ._." "I've still moved on.. Don't think.. That .. *hem* yeah" and my response to her was, Sorry I can't think straight right now. So much has happened in and out of the text chat. and tbh, I still haven't moved on.(2 months ago she told me to move on, so i pretended i have for the past 2 months after the break up but i didn't quit trying cause i had the mindset that if i proved to her that i never did anything bad, i thought id have another chance, my plan wasn't just one simple strategy, it was a bunch of variables that had to aline) ...but now that i know that you have moved on, i will... (i made a promise to make her happy the day we got together). Right now this video just comforts me but she still doesn't know that i love her deeply, and i keep my cool in front of her. but i don't know how our relationship with end cause i don't wanna be in the friend zone and see her with her new bf when she gets one. Thx WongFu this video gave me da feeeels ;-;
