The way I see it, I think the members see Winwin as a special someone they love to take care of, someone they'd treat as their baby probably because he's from a foreign country who's had difficulties adjusting to the Korean culture. Remember that NCT Life season with Kun and Winwin? Winwin looked so lost and cute with his broken Korean and really needed a lot of help. The urge to take care of him is there. Sure Yuta, Johnny and Mark are both foreigners too but Johnny and Mark are ethnically Korean and trained longer than WW before debuting along with Yuta. Yuta, on the other hand already has this self-confidence when he speaks while Winwin still gets nervous prompting more care and uwus from the members lol. What's even more cute is that WW rejects all the members love and aegyo (lol) which isn't surprising since it's not a thing in China I guess (Suju's Henry said he's not used to it either when he first came to Korea) but he doesn't get mad about it either and just gets shy and all making the members tease him more. 😅

Actually I think the whole touching and “aegyo” (it’s called “maimeng” in china, it means selling your cuteness) subculture is pretty prevalent in china. I had the chance to live there and attend local schools there for a few years in middle school and boys and girls there were all really physical and liked to joke around with each other by maimeng-ing (it was mostly the cringed type though and we all laughed at it). The way they interacted is pretty much just like how you see Kpop idols doing skinship. I think Winwin is just not a very affectionate person in general 😅
