In this video I’m going to be walking you through my process for burning text, and adding text to your pyrography. This project is perfect for beginners, but is also great for experienced burners who just want to play around with a fun and simple project.
The burner I use is a Razertip SS-D10:

The music in this video is from Epidemic Sound.

I just bought a live edge board to do a wood burning but the edge is very brittle. What should I do before I start burning ?

Yeah, they’re never very durable. If it’s falling off you could glue it back on, I’ve done that before. If It’s meant to hang on a wall it doesn’t need to be that tough, if you’re making a table or something you’ll want to remove the bark or I’m told it won’t last

Hi how did you transfer from the paper onto the wood? Thank you.
@WildwoodStudio
@WildwoodStudio 3 жыл бұрын
I used tracing paper, so you take your drawing, trace it once on the tracing paper (using pencil) and then turn it over and trace it again. Then you put it on the wood and scribble over it again with a pencil to transfer the pencil lines. Alternatively you could just use graphite paper.

@@WildwoodStudio ok, thanks. After tracing both sides, I just scribble all over the backside covering it with pencil? I’ve never done it, but I’m gonna try it. I couldn’t find a video on that. Your work is beautiful. Do you sale your artwork? Btw I’ve left Facebook.
@WildwoodStudio
@WildwoodStudio 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you want to trace it on both sides so it doesn’t come out backwards, and scribbling over the back of the paper transfers the graphite on the other side. I’m not sure if I’m explaining clearly, There’s a wiki how article on it with pictures. And thank you :) I do sell my art, usually at art shows but I’m working on setting up a website to sell it online.

Hello creative ppl. I would really like to buy one of those boxes with all the cute sayings. Can anyone tell me what it is or where to find it? Thank you

I think it’s just called a quote box? I searched that and found this one on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Primitives-Kathy-Classic-Hinged-Wisdom/dp/B07CHBJ7JY/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?dchild=1&keywords=Quote+Boxes&qid=1625887675&sr=8-16 But it doesn’t seem to have sarcastic quotes like mine lol

Although one of the ones in the picture on the ad says “life is short, smile while you still have teeth.” And that’s pretty funny 😆

Where is the smoke? I do love this though. I’m a newbie. Just got my tools. Now I just need some wood, ah my sisters dresser…..
@WildwoodStudio
@WildwoodStudio 3 жыл бұрын
Usually I don’t need to use my tool on a hot enough setting for there to be much smoke. Good luck with your burning :) a dresser sounds fun as long as you remove the finish first 😆
