There was a time when Bretonnia couldn't use siege engines because it wasn't very chivalrous. But also back then the undead could have archers too.

That time was when they were revamped for 5th edition. 3rd & 4th edition they had access to bombards and crossbows, by their 6th edition book they were given the trebuchet.

@@spdrjerusalem I just remember playing... Mighty Empires I think. That boxed game that allowed you to run campaigns on a strategic map for Warhammer. And our playgroup had this moment laughing as we realized the Bretonnia player couldn't actually buy siege engines.

That's Unit Strength 20 vs Unit Strength 10. If the Unit Strength of the winning side is more than twice that of the losing side, you can't Fall Back in Good Order. So, it is double outnumber, but more than double outnumber is needed.

That lone Glade Guard got a kill to stand and shoot the round the mounted yoeman charged in and whiffed. Shouldn't the Glade Guard have won that 1st round by 1. Meaning the Yoemen owed you a break test on LD 5. (He may have had a chance to solo that entire flank!)

You cannot use burning gaze in combat. It is a magic missile, no option for interpretation. As a cannon ball cannot shoot on the back line of a combat you cannot use this spell on this way 😊 "Choosing A Target Unless stated otherwise, the following rules apply when choosing a target: • The target must lie within the Wizard’s vision arc, but the Wizard does not need a line of sight to the target. • The target must lie within the spell’s range. • Spells cannot target units engaged in combat" AND "These are sorcerous projectiles hurled at the foe. Magic Missiles can only target enemy units and the Wizard must have a line of sight to the target"

Nah dude the spell doesnt work like regular magic missiles, It just draws a straight line and any model the line crosses is hit. Magic missile cant target friendly targets but this spell can hurt your own minis. thats because this spell does not target anything.

Q: Can a cannon be shot in such a way as to hit an enemy unit that is engaged in combat with a friendly unit? A: No. Page 143 of the rulebook makes it clear that, except in rare cases, units cannot shoot enemy units that are engaged in combat. In the case of cannon, this means the target point cannot be placed in such a way as to risk the cannonball hitting a friendly unit, or an enemy unit engaged in combat with a friendly unit

@@RagtimeNinja That faq is for cannons, it was to affect the magic missile it would say the same foe the magic missile "line" attacks but who knows what a future faq could change.

​​@@MountainMiniatures ok, but you always have to imagine hand-to-hand combat as a mass of people fighting erratically. In specific cases Skaven can fire into melee. The others faction don't. I suggest to use an objective point of view, instead of wait GW(mum)'s errata who teach us how to play 😂 Anyway good match and thanks for your kind reply👌really appreciated

Can the Spellweaver be the General when the other character, the Glade Captain has a higher Leadership? I know that BSB cannot be the general, but with the highest Leadership does he not have to be selected as general before BSB?

That's not a 5th edition Bretonnia list, lol. You'd have to lose the Trebuchets and Grail Pilgrims for that (those didn't exist in 5th). But nice try^^

Turns out when you play a shooting focused army as a melee only army it isn't as good as it should be.

They seem to put up good numbers at tournaments atleast. The lists in this video arent min/maxed. Far from it.
