It's funny to see you Americans working with masonry, not bad for that. It is that here in Brazil we grew up seeing our parents with brick in one hand and a shovel of cement in the other.

Setting those boards in silicone or adhesive would have worked, and probably better, when the boards shrink that grout will crack, please update at the end of the heating season and prove me wrong, otherwise looks nice

Looks great! I kind of like the way your grout contrasts against the tile. Barn wood is a nice touch. But dude, I always thought you were cool until I saw the Packers throw...ugh!! Lol...kidding of course. God bless. :)

One tiling tip- when sponging off, run your sponge at a 45 degree angle to the grout joints and it won’t drag the grout out. It really turned out nice though!

Looks great man. just a piece of advice, always wipe on a 45° of grout lines and only do one wipe per side of sponge then rinse , great video tho ;)

Good advice, 8 made things harder for myself on the first half. Things went smoother on the second half though

Looks great! Out of curiosity, why didn't you tile under the stove before bringing it down? It seems like it would be a huge pain to get stone or tiles under the stove once it's there. Keep in mind, I'm not very good at this stuff, so I'm talking out of ignorance (which is entirely likely), then I'd love to learn the proper order of operations. Thanks!

I'm wondering why you didn't remove and cover those outlets BEFORE the stove went into place like you talked about. The one on the left is going to be a bit more awkward to access now. But the project is coming along, so you must be getting pretty excited. 🙂

looks great, why did you use 2 sanders?
@SSLFamilyDad
@SSLFamilyDad 6 жыл бұрын
The belt sander is a bit rougher and will leave streaks in the wood sometimes. I used the random orbit sander with finer paper to take out any marks left by the belt sander
