Hi Moody Harvey, Apologies, we recognize this is a very old video and are working towards updating it. We have updated the Bowlsaver MAX3 which is very similar, (but obviously with the additional blade) if this is of interest. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIK4moZtoLGUnqc Thanks for your patience, Woodcut Tools.

I bought a woodcut bowl saver second hand a few years ago and have struggled to make it work as it should. I’m getting a lot of vibration. I realise I need to make a longer handle and perhaps tighten the plate onto the post a bit more. I’ll take this new info on board and see how I go. Is there a video on sharpening the cutters?

Completely useless on dry blanks. Insane vibration and blade that blunts in minutes.

Hi Dunc, Thank you for your comment. We do recommend using damp wood, however it can be used on dry wood. When using dry wood you need to ensure you stop and re-sharpen your blade as you go. See this video on how to easily do this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaLOgK14mJakabM. Replaceable blades are also available for purchase.
