Yes,the cooler is the tank on the passenger side with the Blue lid. There is a video here that shows it's construction.

The technology is very old,from around 1839 and many countries including Germany,Scandanavia,Japan and New Zealand have used wood and charcoal gas to run IC engines.

have you had this truck tested for emissions while running on wood gas? i think it would be very interesting to have those results.

ER, no! The wood is heated and produces the gas. Coke or coal is used to create the heat, it wont create the gas that the the engine runs on.
