Thranduil has always been one of if not my favorite LOTR character, and Lee Pace does a great job portraying him.

One of the things I liked about this cue is how consistent it is. During times of monologue or emotional moments, the cue is slower in pace. Giving the cue a majestic flair to it. Really love use of the brass, strings, harps, woodwinds and choirs during these parts. I even like how ominous or sinister it sounds at times with The Nature of Evil being a prime example of what I mean. But once the action starts, the cue is quicker and militant in its approach. Very bombastic and triumphant but not quite as intense or complex as Shore’s earlier LOTR cues but this still gets the job done! This might be my favorite of The Hobbit suites besides Smaug’s.

This is breathtaking. This mix includes every Mirkwood related theme and is divided into perfect sections. First comes the palace and its king, then the military topic, then full Legolas' theme (thank you so much for this btw) with adorable bits of Tauriel's, and it all ends with the memory of the Elvenqueen. Just perfect 💛💙🌿🍃

OMG this is awesome... I love the elves of Mirkwood, especially Thranduil, and this collection of themes perfectly immerses you in that world, it gives me inspiration to draw. thank you very much for such a wonderful collection

Perfeita representa bem o reino da floresta e seus elfos principalmente o Rei Thranduil, o tema é majestoso as vezes calmo e as vezes agressivo sombrio e belo com coral de opera Sindar belíssimo e com um toque egípcio e tem variações com trombetas que representam um tema de guerra que representa o exército dos elfos desse reino no campo de batalha enquanto as variações elétricas e de ação representa quanto o Legolas príncipe do Reino das Floresta está em luta ou no campo de batalha e finaliza com belíssimo tema da Tauriel

None in particular, just something about the vocalizations and the string instruments strikes a chord (no pun intended), though I would say the main theme from the first game comes to mind
