Woodland solo wild camping - DD tarp tent bivvy - Wild camping in the UK
Hi Everone, and thank you all for checking out my new woodland wild camping trip where i head to a new small woodland here in the UK to do a solo wild camp.
On this trip i decided to use my DD hammocks multicam tarp to construct a tarp tent. Paired with my bivvy bag this is a great option for wild camping here in the UK offering great protection for all kinds of weather.
I cooked some good food and the camp fire, and took in my surroundings. Sometimes i feel i need solo trips to experience the wild campoing trip in a whole new way and really take in my surroundings

Hi Ash. Great video mate. Loved that little woodland tucked away with the deer. For a minute I thought that helicopter was looking for you lol. Really liked the multicam tarp. Nice solo mate, I’m really kicking myself cause I hate mice and rats and that’s the only reason I hate bivvy sleeping. It’s good to have time out from beer mate and reflect on life and be one with nature but it’s also nice to have a beer lol. Nice one Ash! Good to reset the mind. Ticks were a weekly occurrence for me growing up next to and playing in the Thetford forest and I (wrongly) became a bit blase about it. Good advice giving yourself a good check over. I had one hidden in my hair not so long back, went unnoticed for a few days.

Nice one inky chap ! For the tarp tent, try using two sticks in an A, instead of the single pole, gives you much more space.

Ticks basically hang off bracken and long grass and hook on as you go by generally on the leg, and move upwards. If you have an abundance of deer and pheasant in the area, lyme disease is of concern.

Excellent setup the tarp tent mate, is that a 3x3 tarp too? Huge!! A favourite of mine on any channel I enjoy watching is the camera work and yours is real good Ash mate. You can buy these special tweezer like tools, you have to hook it under the tick, then simultaneously twist and pull, being careful to remove the whole thing! 👍🏼
