Love your channel. Been to woodmands. I recommend you visit Lena’s seafood in NH. Never had a bad meal. Going there for 10 years+ This Eastie guy knows how to cook and how to eat

Lena’s is in Salisbury mass. If your going a little further hit up Browns lobster pound in Seabrook. Great food and BYOB. They just won the best lobster roll award in the New England seafood festival too.

Seems kinda expensive when you compare it to Belle Isle Seafood in Winthrop. But yeah, tourist spot for sure, jacked up prices. Thanks to Woodman's of Essex for "inventing" the fried clam, but just because you're 1st, doesn't mean you are the best. In this area...I'll throw a shout out to 12 Ocean Grill in Seabrook. Kind of sports bar meets seafood shack. Parking sucks around it. Another great "The REAL" review!!

clam box in ipswich in my opinion is the best. they source the clams nearby and have big bellies if you ask for them, superior batter thats simple and crisp, they change the fry oil daily, better fries and onion rings too. i always get the fishman's platter w my family

These places never seem to get the batter right. That's alot of money for cheap batter - which is quite a bit of the weight of the fried product

JT Farnhams is FAR BETTER. Better Clams, Better Fries, and the Onion Rings aren't even close. Woodmans is SO overrated.

I was gonna comment this. Woodman's has all the hallmarks off being a tourist trap with the massive lines, and subpar seafood. I'm pretty sure that were great back in their hay day, but now they just rest in their laurels. JT Farnham's is where I recommend people to check out if they're going to Essex.

There are a number of places that have better clams than Woodman's. JT Farnam's, within eyesight of Woodman's, is a lot better.
