Shop heat: I am in northern Minnesota, I heat my 1000 sq ft garage/ wood shop with slab heat fired by electric water heater. I keep it around 60 to 65 deg. It is expensive when temps get below 0. Once I turn it on in the late fall it stays on till late spring, the nice benefit is my lumber , generally air dried to 12%, drys down to 6 to 8% in a few weeks. Routers: Bosch has just released there 18v router. It is compatible with Colt assorries. I didn’t need it, got a good sale price at acme tool w/ free battery and charger, I couldn’t pass it up. Really enjoy the show!

As for heat, I've had my shop for all most 20 years now and still haven't insulated walls. Oops. So I have two small space heaters. If it gets too cold I'll go to the KCWG and use the shop there. As for second tools for the shop. I'd like to have the setup that Mike Farrington has with 2 side by side table saws. I have 1 router table but about 6 or 7 routers. They seem to multiply.

Have you guys ever done a "Mini split how to install?" I think a mini split in my shop would be perfect to take the chill off on those really cold winter days.

Actually yes. Logan did one on installing the two units in his shop. I'll see if we can link them.

One thing I do every time I go in the shop is I take a piece of cherry over to the tablesaw and I cut it reeeeaaalllly slow so it burns and my shop smells great.

Sometimes it seems like any time I cut cherry on the table saw I get that. Mmmm wood smoke.

technical Note: Logan needs compression on his mike. He keeps peaking and and his sound is clipping.
