Thank you for watching John, yeah definitely come down to the Woodstown Central when you can, when they are running. I know as time goes on they will have some coach cars, and different motive power perhaps that steam locomotive #9 the 0-6-0 SMS is fixing up will probably be used for excursions I would imagine once it is all restored. Another thing for New Jersey this is a pretty rural area and the spacing between crossings feels like out in the midwest, and boy do they run, whatever their track speed is they haul...

​@@LibertyRailfan The track speed is 30MPH for passenger and 25MPH for freight they do plan to have #9 doing excursions on the line but that isn't likely until next year and currently they have there table car in the shop getting finished and then they will move it on to the branch and sms 554 is currently being overhauled and will also be used for excursions

@@mlpderick I knew it had to be somewhere around there 30mph check out my pacing clip in the video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmS9dJ2hoKajh9E I think 30mph is a great speed for excursions glad they have the track to support that speed, looks like the track is in pretty good condition. Other tourist operations in NJ don't have the track to support 30mph try maybe 20 mph the other operations are still fun/good but those track speeds are slower, lol..

Man, that old Baldwin switcher looks better than new! Same with the Reading caboose! A fine video Adam, and that's some pretty country down there. Looks like it was a fun ride and can you imagine when SMS has their pet steam engine in service? As I understand it it won't be long now! Thanks for posting!

I can’t wait to see that 0-6-0 steamer #9 in action, yeah it shouldn’t be long now maybe another year at the most I think till it hits the rails. You’re right the New Jersey countryside down here is gorgeous, really doesn’t feel like central or North Jersey countryside. Central Jersey and Northern Jersey everything seems spaced fairly close together, but down in this part of Southwestern Jersey feels like a midwestern state sort of. The chase of this train was much more spaced out between trackside locations, compared to the rest of the state. Also great track speed of the railroad itself I was surprised by how fast they were moving for a tourist train, was totally awesome.

@@LibertyRailfan Adam that reminds me, the wife and I are both from North Jersey, Paramus to be exact, but we both went to college at Glassboro State, now Rowan University. Glassboro's not too far from where the Woodstown Central runs and you're so right, to us that part of South Jersey was like another world and not just to us but all North Jersey kids who went there. A good example of New Jersey's diversity!

@@wayneantoniazzi2706 absolutely.. I know Paramus all to well and Northern NJ.. Yeah what a difference down in Southwest Jersey. The Jersey shore has always been the shore, lol.. Many beach front resort town right on the Ocean, but with that famous invisible, line of Toms River anything to the south of toms River is Philadelphia’s Jersey Shore, and anything north of Toms River is New York City’s jersey shore, lol. Brings to mind is it Taylor ham or pork roll? 🤣 Going all the way down to Cape May is great, but go over to Camden county, Gloucester County Salem county. It feels like the Ohio. Just replace some of the saltwater creeks with freshwater creeks and we wouldn’t know the difference between southwest jersey or Ohio.

They didn't acitvate because they didn't pay the electric 🔌bill for those crossings! JK, lol 😆... 🚂🚂🚂 To be serious I'm not the railroad just a railfan who randomly chosen to follow this train so that means IDK, I am just happy filming chasing whatever the railroad does. Why don't you use this video and ask on the Woodstown Central RR's Facebook page tinyurl.com/2wxuau4h they usually respond within a day or two and are friendly so it's possible they might be able to explain why they are flagging those crossings.

Maybe put the Counties, Region & State in the Description? I know that I would find it best in a Search, know whether I want to watch or not and be most likely to watch and even "like" it. Just sayin, as most Railfan accounts either have that info in description and on screen. As it occurs and have many subscribers and likes or they don't and don't have em so much. Just sayin.
