Phenomenal. Rather than using half a tree and gallons of epoxy resin to make a coffee cup, as many seem to do, you have made this marvellous vase from a modest unwanted table top. Bravo.

Just goes to show that you really don't have to have exotic hardwoods to make great segmented projects. Very nice.

You’re right, but still you need to have the appropriate machine to make this kind of projects. Not everyone owns such beast 🙂

@@ragnkja couldn’t agree more. I was just pointing out that to make such (big) projects, you can’t do much with a small machine. Saying that doesn’t remove any credit to the hard work that was done on this video… I have a small Holzmann D460FXL and although I’m used to it, even if I wanted I cannot make such a big projects on it.

it is not only great woodturning job, but great camerawork and cutting, too. i especially liked that moment when pop-pop-pop and the segments are in their right places : ) and a camera inside the vase

J’aime le tournage du bois et je regarde plusieurs vidéos et plusieurs « artistes » qui en font, mais tu es, et de loin, celui que je préfère! Des pièces très complexes mais qui semblent si facile quand c’est toi qui les fait! Félicitations! C’est magnifique! Ton sens du détail et la « comédie » que tu mets parfois dans tes vidéos les rendent encore plus agréables à regarder! WOW 😍

@@russelljenkins6606 The camera probably is spinning. He likely just spun the footage back at the same rate to make it look stable in the edit.

Second video in and you don't seem that old which makes me think you've clearly been taught your craft from an early age because your work is incredible to watch 👏👌, I keep thinking to myself you must have some awsome things around your house, like even your spice rack must be a masterpiece I imagine a majestic bird mansion in your back garden😅 keep up the good work I can't wait to see the next one😎👌

You were not kidding about the vase being big. I haven’t seen anyone do something like that so large. Great job on the vase which I am sure it took you a long time and hard work to complete. Beautiful!

Wonderful work, a sample that pine wood is also good for those pieces of art. All wood has its beauty, ugly pallets or any scrap of wood can be turned into wonders. Well done!

Very cool! I'm wanting to turn a lamp soon, myself. Dad's going to let me use his lathe. I can see using a very similar process (though much smaller and I don't need to do the inside)! So I was glad to find this video. Sweet!

Best tool for reclaimed wood, one of those handheld metal detectors. No surprises of a stray nail getting caught your saw blade.
