Very well done, Mike; just what a beginner needs. Real time and full commentary. Clearly born of experience. I enjoyed it too. I recall we both started serious woodturning at about the same time, and worked in parallel on goblets. Now its negative rake scrapers, which we have agreed before are valuable tools. For those with the most basic of lathes, coring with a handled drill bit is an important method. I think a little on useful bit diameters and handle design. bearing in mind torque, might not come amiss: indeed, I have had to answer up on handle shape and length for different tools in the past. Also, final sanding together with choice of sealants and top coats is known to be puzzling to some, on which you might feel inclined to comment some time. Just some thoughts. I like my tailstock Jacobs chuck, which I make sure to hold, and am somewhat a devotee to Danish Oil. Thanks very much. Bernard.

PS. As this is for beginners, Mike, I remember when a novice being quite disconcerted by the squealing heard here at 22-24 mins., which could be worthy of comment. Bernard
