Yay! *Moth mode activated* LAMP! I needed something to.... Brighten my life right now

My largest new piece of knowledge about lathes since I started watching this channel is how very many ways there are to attach something to a lathe. He didn't even use the old standard "put it in backwards, carve the bottom into a squat cylinder, then reverse it" and yet there were about five different ways something got attached. (It is also a very cool lamp. I'm glad to see it was mostly just buffed and polished given the piece you started with already had more than enough character.)

Very reminiscent of the 50’s and 60’s (Mid-Century) styles. Well done!

Beautiful! Would also look lovely as a light shade.

Great piece of artwork, Jack, and so versatile as a lamp.

That is one groovy lamp. I like it a lot, though it is not my favorite of yours. I am always a sucker for color or contrast in a piece, and the bright colors in blonde wood set in what looks like translucent granite is just plain neat.

Gorgeous. Now I'm imagining infilling a strange gap in an interior wall with a column of this with accenting wall panels on the opposite side. Who could be sad on a gloomy November day when living in a rainbow?

I'd title the the video Fanplastic rather than Bambootiful. Great looking lamp, but that looks like plastic polkadot with very little bamboo.
