Carl, I had watched this video before but found it again with a search for the beading cutters. I just ordered the #1 hollower and 3 of the beading cutters and am ready to do some embellishments on my turnings. Thanks for all the great demos and glad I could refer back to this.

Great video, Carl. I've become an Easy Wood tools fan over the years partly because of you. You mentioned the "finisher" and I didn't know which tool you were referring to, but you showed in use so I figured it out and I have that cutter. I just bought all 4 of the beading cutters yesterday. I plan on using some on pens and bottle stoppers. Thanks.

Looks great, Carl. That is definitely a beautiful piece of wood. When I saw those cracks on the outside, at first they looked like bumps and I was wondering why you didn't sand them down (lol). Bill
@CarlJacobson Жыл бұрын
Thank you Bill!! It was a little deceiving in the video. They did look like they were raised up.

It's a beautiful platter. Very nicely and expertly done! I am going to stop pestering you now, so this is the last time I will mention it. Two emails & now 2 comments without an answer, so I'm going to assume you were not interested in the custom order. No problem really, I will look elsewhere. Thank you.

I like the cracks left in . what grit do you start sanding at sir. It looks like on most of your projects you end with 600. Also what speed do you finish turn most of your projects . you dont seem to have any wood tear issues what so ever.
@CarlJacobson Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!! I normally start sanding around 180 but this one had a little bit of tearout so I started at 120. I finish turning most of them between 2500 and 3000 rpms

Just ordered the beading cutter. I love Easy Wood products and your demos are great. I would like one of your brass rings, but shipping is much too expensive to Canada. Is there a dealer in B.C. who sells them. Thanks
@CarlJacobson Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Lacey! Yes shipping out of the States is expensive. We're working on getting a dealer up there. We have a few customers that have them shipped close to the boarder, and go pick them up.
@farmerjohn8726 Жыл бұрын
There's a lot of tear-out with that scraper ... can you avoid it with a different cutter or speed?
@CarlJacobson Жыл бұрын
Yes there was a bit of tear out on the ingrain, but it didn't take much to sand it.
@davo-h1t Жыл бұрын
Finally some classic bowl/platter turning, excellent! I have the other beading tools (on your recommendation) and they are fantastic. I can't see them doing this flush beading though. Do you thinking the others will do or is this version a must have too?
@CarlJacobson Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Chris! The D-way tools will do the same thing, so there's no need to change. These are really nice for the people that already have the Easy Wood tools.
