Not bad for one log at all! I very much appreciate that, when someone sends you a piece of wood, you take your time and study it before deciding how you can best put it to use.. so you can make as many beautiful and useful things out of it as possible. That level of thoughtfulness, the understanding of and respect for the raw materials that nature provides to me seems like a rare thing in today's world!

That Ambrosia has splendid character. At 13:17 you show the bowl flipped over with out revealing how it was mounted. I'm guessing you have a vacuum chuck for your new lathe? They are sweet!

It was the wide jaw set for the stronghold chuck... for got to turn on the camera fro that part, lol. I've been looking at vacuum chucks though, will probably get one eventually.

All beautiful pieces Rod. The first one turned out absolutely magnificent, if I had to pick a favorite. I was a jeweler most of my life, that is when I was not in the sandbox. And I liken this log to a diamond in an experienced cutters hands. You studied, and got the maximum yield from this one piece. I am very impressed. Good job, Jimmy
