Man . . . . right up to the point that the pinecones appeared, I was totally sold on this little barrel. I was stoked, a NZ project without resin lol. I know that this is just my opinion, but if you had just put a little round finial on the lid, it would be something I would give good folding money for. The pinecones are cute and a pretty way to accent the top, just not for me. Love your work, keep waffling and I'm going to try to see you on Channel 4 next month. Blessings!

Here's a cool idea. How about you use termite infested wood and fill the empty Space with colored resin. I’m sure it would look pretty funky. p.s If you want you can use the other piece of wood from this video for a base for it.

Do live oaks grow in England? They’re generally a tree that grows in really warm climates. It could easily be some kind of oak but I couldn’t find any info on live oaks growing there.

What was there at 9:28 looked good and simple. The "flower arraignment" took away the over all beauty of the wood for me. Made it "too busy" as my art professor would say. I know you're "way out there" at times and we love it. But this one in IMHO had its own beauty.
