Especially once our 2nd pair is good enough to take some of the defensive zone starts off his shoulders. Mo gets very limited offensive zone starts due to how bad the team defense had been this year.

They most likely would get more than 97 points. Because you would have to add the rest of the team, not just those guys. Also, yzerman will make moves in FA. He could make a trade too. Hes not afraid to make trades.

I think Danielson is going to be a Dylan Larkin type of player. Alot of people are sleeping on him. Hes very good and has decent size. I think hes 6'2 190lbs. He played really well in his preseason games

Edvinson? What Bultman said I've been on board with as early as his 3rd game this year. In every game he played, he made a distinguishable improvement. I see him fitting in as a 2 line player and maybe taking over one of the first pair on the front end of the power play

I just love how we keep saying Larkin is the most important guy on the team but not get how they struggled without him lol. If i am not mistaken Kane missed some games in there as well and the fact a flu bug hit the team was a factor as well!! It is ok to admit those facts. Why do we act like those things don't matter?? This is a good team but the depth is not Stanley Cup level and I just don understand why more context is not used when judging. This team played way above their heads at the start but nobody mentions that. That's why its 82 games. They balance out. And we played down the stretch without Rasmussen and Jake Wallman. And nobody assumed Husso would miss all the time he has. With all that we still improved 11 games from last year. You don't have to win it all to have a successful season.

think it's because Yzerman brought in tons of vets and guys with Cups but seemingly nobody could "lead" the team during that stretch. Obviously it's not something that's an easy switch-flip to do, but to have such a skid and not be able to salvage anything during that stretch is a bad look for guys with decades of total experience in the league and who have been on Cup winning teams. It's a big assumption but it makes sense to some extent. Also a big reason so many fingers are pointing at Lalonde. Not saying it's right, but that's the perception.

I love the optimism about all the prospects but it really feels like a handful of them still need a decent amount of development. I really don't think we should be seeing Danielson or Kasper at all next season. Those 2 guys needs to develop and dominate in the AHL before we bring them up. Cossa is at least 2 years away as well. I'm scared that this season gave a lot of Wings fans unrealistic expectations moving forward.

I would very sceptical that we see many, if any, of the young forwards up. After seeing how he handled Edvinson, i dont expect any of these forwards coming up. He said over and over, that if someone pushes down the door, he would make room. Edvinson should be up at the start of the season. I know there was too many dman on the roster, but it proved he wasnt doing what he said. it felt too Hollandish way of roster management, with vets over young guys. His hand is going to be forced by the start of the next year. Johanson and Edvinson need to handled one way or another. It

The abuse Larkin sustains every season has increased. Teams are making a point of playing to injure him because there’s no consequence for it. He’s a hard-played 27 so far and has no help down the middle. There are no stars in the pipeline and there’s no good way to get them now…

Thats why we need at least one enforcer. D-mac, Probert, Kocur, Dallas Drake. All those guys protected yzerman and our stars. We dont have that today. We need just 1 of those guys.
