Woodworking Tip: Band Saw V-Block

Cutting odd-shaped parts always poses an interesting challenge. The band saw is certainly the safest place to get the job done, but it’s far from perfect. That said, this V-jig will certainly help when it comes to long workpieces.

Nice - simple to make and use - a good way to cut the corners off prior going to the lathe

Mag switches are a good idea. I'll agree that the double-sided tape is the weak point in this iteration. My band saw fence is aluminum, so magnets are out. I also considered fence clamps.

I was thinking the Magswitches would attach to the iron table rather than the fence.

Cheap and dirty, but handy. Definetly and addition to my shop when get my bandsaw

Band saws have built-in versatility/possiblity so a lot of jigs aren't necessary. So when I decide to make one, it has to be bare bones and easy to set up.
