His videos are very high quality and they help a lot but is it just me or does he seem a little harsh with how he chooses to tell us stuff and he acts as if this is THE ONLY WAY like I get what he's telling me overflick and move to make up the difference but is it just me or does it seem better to track the target and strafe so even if the enemy makes unusual movements you simply track the target why cam't I have my own play style?
@Yes-dj6en
@Yes-dj6en 4 ай бұрын
@@jacobnunya7Cause its easy to fool yourself into thinking that you can improve with a certain action/exercise/routine etc. when you are not skilled in/ignorant of the intricacies of something. It happens to a lot of us. Not just in games, in pretty much everything. Also, if he isnt harsh, people will just do it and change it as they please, which will not let them improve. You have a better shot at improving by following what he does, you can develop your own style later on. Its like when people learn to draw, and they insist on 'doing it in their own art style' and ignoring fundamentals, even if all you want to do is draw manga faces, learn fundamentals first, otherwise you'll be stuck in that beginner-intermediate stage, never quite really reaching a level where you can draw what you want and is instead stuck imitating others without knowing why they do what they do.

I may not have been the most active member but your coaching videos have helped me a LOT and I genuinely appreviate what you've done. You've turned Valorant from a game I sucked at to a game I have a real chance of being good at. Sucks to see you go but hope you're happy wherever you land. I noticed when I first started with the previous aim training video that I didn't move and shoot at the same time when I first started, I interestingly adapted to moving and shooting at the same time the more consistent I became with training without even realizing it a few weeks later, so this is super important to point out for those just starting out.

This is awesome. Recently, I’ve made the easy bots more difficult by doing the drill with a classic. It hits that perfect middle ground between easy and medium bots with the Sheriff because you have to flick faster in order to hit both headshots

I'm SUPER grateful for this follow-up. I can consistently get 20+ but I really struggle to reach 25. In particular, I'm so glad Hooj actually quotes a reaction time (150-250 ms). I've been doubting myself a lot thinking I had a slow reaction time (I'm middle-aged too which I thought wouldn't help matters). However, my reaction to the bot appearing is now around 170 ms, so I'm super reassured to know that I'm not too slow. Also, for those who are new to this, take this encouragement: when I first started playing VALORANT and doing this drill a few months back, I was very worried about my reaction time which back then was sometimes as high as 270 ms. I thought reacting as quickly as 170 ms was impossible, but now I can do that consistently. So if you feel down for being slow, keep practising! You can actually learn to react faster, though it may take a lot of practise!

I'm not a frequent commenter or watcher, but I found this helpful since I haven't seen your 'drill' video up until now and saw some similarities that I do (back when I was still grinding to immo) with my aim training back then. I say "back then" because I peaked asce 2 but went to get surgery so I was out for months and now I'm just stuck going back and forth from diamond 2 to plat 3. tldr: thanks very much for this vid since I'm really in a slump right now with the lose streaks and inconsistencies (and other personal stuff) in my game but now I'm more inclined to aim train like I used to again, much love mr. banana man because your vids always help me improve even though I haven't personally sent a vod myself

7:30 the best way I found to double the degrees of difficulty for training bots is to turn off armor and use classic only: one HS followed by one body. This is a perfectly half in term of timer. For example I can do consistently 28-30 vandal onetap on medium but with this it's 14-16 average while my hard onetap vandal average is like 7 lol
@guyinaroom7771

For anyone struggling to even get the basics down of moving in the opposite direction of the bots. I've found that visualizing many bots on each side helps, because it makes me think of the bots position before it spawns. The real bot usually overlaps with one of the imagined ones and since I already know the position of the imagine one I'm better able to walk away from it. Another helpful method for me was to imagine a rope being tied to the bot and you needing to pull the bot, which instinctively only works in the direction away from it and not the one towards it, so you don't even have to think about all that "left, right" nonsense. Honestly, I've been practicing for like at least an hour for 4 days and still l can't do it consistently. All my reflexes completely go against this technique xD

I wanted to add a point to ISSUE #5: incorrect reset. If you are having issue with specifically resetting properly, it is better to perform this motion with easy bots, where you separate motion into 2: overaim + strafe, shot + reset. All additional time due to easy mode goes to rest in between these two motions and you can focus on similarity of these processes and your technique in particular. This advice, If I remember correctly, was given to someone in one of low-elo coaching practice reviews and was very helpful.
