The original so-called incel. It’s sad when someone does it to themself. But I feel he didn’t deserve it. Some people live and die and literally can’t find love, only possession or half friendship.

Michael has always been my favorite and one of the reasons that I think that is because he’s able to express so much emotion in his sad and quiet notes. Many other Phantom actors use loud and powerful notes which is still obviously impressive but Michael’s softer, more heartbroken notes feel me with such sadness. Like he’s literally being betrayed and heartbroken and all he can do is silently and softly cry over it

i think Sarah Brightman brought Christine innocence and kindness, bc at the end Christine is young, Sarah's voice gave her that scared feeling from a girl who doesn't really know how she's gonna fix everything, so many Christines make quick changes in their voices to show an emotion more deep, but Sarah just gave scared and i think she transmited that feeling to the people, while the other showed it. Just saying, my opinion, i'm one of those fools who love Sierra tho, but i appreciate a lot the talent of the Christines.

1:35 to 2:07 has got to be one of the most utterly romantic, soul soaring musical arrangements in musical history. My god those strings, that violin, and Sarah's voice is just... bliss... It makes you without a doubt understand exactly WHY she can never truly ket go of the Phantom and likely never will.
@zerotheglitch88266 жыл бұрын
Look, I've seen many people point out or say "This Christine did this way better! Oh The movie's singing sucked. Oh Ramin and Sierra we're way better." Let people have their own opinions instead of saying that they are wrong. I honestly liked the movie, now it was not the best movie but it helped get a younger audience introduced into this beautiful musical. Now as for those of you who say Sierra and Ramin were way better. You may have your own opinion but no need to say that every where you find anything to do related to the other casts. I frankly like the original cast because that is who Andrew Lloyd Webber, y'know the one who wrote the musical, thought of in the first place to play these characters. When Micheal Crawford first auditioned for this musical he wanted to play Raoul but Andrew took one look at him and knew he would be the perfect Phantom. Meanwhile he looked at his wife and knew she would be the perfect Christine. All of the actors are good, you can all have your own opinions but don't hate on other's opinions.

Yes, agreed. Why do people have to bring up Ramin and Sierra everywhere? They aren’t the best imo. Ramin uses more of the rock singing style, similar to Colm Wilkinson, who’s voice is great, but didn’t suit the role of the Phantom well imo. To me, Michael Crawford will always be the Phantom, and Sarah Brightman will always be Christine. I mean, ALW wrote the musical and the role of Christine specifically for Sarah’s voice. They’re the OG’s, the best.

@@ericaeva4408 Sarah and Michael are my favorites. I agree I kinda feel like Sarah deserves more respect. I do like Sierra and Ramin but Ramin doesn't capture the ghostly voice like Michael. I personally don't think anyone sounds more Phantom like than Michael. Also Michael's quiet heart broken voice is so sad. And again while other actors sound sad, most of them aren't quiet and soft, they are loud and powerful. And Sierra's voice, while extremely powerful, doesn't have the naive, scared young girl sound to it like Sarah's does. I have respect for Sierra or anyone that can pull of Christine for that mattter, but Sarah will always be my favorite for all those reasons.

Christine isn't shallow, she just scared of the Phantom. The dude is stalking her, has kind of been lying to her, scaring her (although this one might not have been intentional), and is killing people. By the end of the musical she even tells him that his face isn't the problem, it's because he is going around killing people and pretending to be her friend and ALSO pretending to be her dead father and pretty much traumatizing her. "This haunted face, holds no horror for me now. It's in your soul, where the true distortion lies." Everyone understands that the Phantom has had a pretty horrible life, but that still doesn't give him the right to mess with other people's lives.
@angelateca55138 жыл бұрын
And even in this song, while she does talks about how alarming and distorted his face is, she then brings up the lines about music and how they can share that AND that she has compassion towards him, if just a bit.
