strange question but whys it got a chimney? the smoke seams to mostly come out the sides?

Picked one up on Friday and took it back on Saturday. Plates were warped, one leg was cut short, air draw was shocking and the thing was nothing more than a smoke machine unless you opened the door and chewed the wood burn at a greater rate than an Amazon forestry logger. It a bit of a lottery in getting a good one. I paid the same today and picked up the Oz Pig Traveller. Here’s hoping it’s better than my chopped LPG cylinder. All the best. 👍🇦🇺

I was going off tomorrow to get myself an Ozpig Traveler and then I saw this - now I'm back to being indecisive. The major concern I have with this is how poorly that hotplate fits on the top. 2:54 was it seated properly or is it meant to hover above the fire box like that? Also, the hotplate looks very light. I take it that it is not cast iron?

I have a stainless hot plate that fits snugly on top. The original plate is metal sheet and sits just above to aloe air flow for temperature control. It’s pretty clever actually. It’s been so good to us and we give it a proper flogging. I ask myself when this one dies would I get another one. The answer is YES

@@SilhouetteParkFarm Thanks for the reply. But if the hovering plate is so clever why do you need the snuggly fitting stainless hot plate? My concern is not so much about the temperature control (which I thought would be better controlled by the door vent), but the prefference for the smoke to go up the chimney not out around the hot plate..

@@tassie7325 the draw through the chimney works with both the plate and the stainless plate. We use the stainless plate purely out of our own cooking preferences, also it turns it into more of a combustion stove compared to the BBQ setup

@@AdamKilpatrick Thanks mate for the honest appraisal. I will check one out when I am next in Bunnings as I would prefer to get a flush fit if I can. Maybe I can engineer something with the baffle plate. Cheers

neal tran it is on the expensive side especially when you get all the extras. We use ours a few times a week and I’m extremely happy with ours, if I had to replace it I would definitely get another one.

William Cooper “Bunnings” but not all stores have them. If you jump on the Bunnings website and search for “wooshka” and they will deliver

Only place I can find them is at Bunnings Five nearest stores do not stock them. Tried ordering via internet, Not possible. What is going on?

Four weeks delivery to your local Bunnings if you pay in person beforehand. Should be marketed better.

Ours is one of the best I’ve ever owned I find it funny peoples reports on them are so hit and miss.
