Are you going to mention how Becky's grandfather seems to have clashed with Tobey's grandfather/father? because those robots that he destroyed with his screwdriver looked like Tobey's. Ohoh and will you also talk about Tobey's father? and as it seems that Tobey and his mother mainly, are of that type of people ....(I don't know what they are called) because he hates processed food and doesn't have a television (which seems very sad to me, he will miss the princess Triana specials )

I didn't have this in the original iceberg nor the modified one. I was going to talk about Tobey's father in tier 5 (where there are other topics related to other characters family) but yeah I will definitely mention the potential connection to Bampy when I get to that tier. I think there's a possibility that Chaz could be miss power's son, I'm mean he almost has the same hairstyle as miss power and has the glasses, and also the same negative behavior he has on others! Maybe? 🤔🤔🤔

Sammy Sub is in other episodes besides Rise of Miss Power. And yeah, having a sandwich for a head is apparently just something that happens in the WordGirl universe. For the May I Have a Word segments being absent in Venezuela, I'm fairly certain those were made to fill up a half-hour runtime on PBS, which doesn't have commercials, but which could easily be cut for time for syndication on channels in other countries that do have commercials. Finally, Chuck's Extreme Crusher (and the other WordGirl games) are preserved through BlueMaxima's Flashpoint, a flash game preservation project.

18:42 I didn't think that anyone from the English wordgirl community would talk about the lost media Latin dubbing of Word Girl, I'm one of those who got to see Word Girl (Chica Supersabia) in Latin America when I was a child from 2009 to 2011 (in July 2011 Word Girl was canceled in my country, but continued to be broadcast only in Mexico until 2012 on the Discovery Kids channel), I have few memories of having seen Word Girl since I was barely between 3, 4 and 5 years old when I saw it on television (with the dubbing of Venezuela), I remember having seen the episodes Have you seen the remote in 2009 at 2:30 pm and in 2011 at 10:30 pm a fragment of the episode Princess Triana and the ogre of castlebum, although I also remember the odd episode of season 1 in which they showed Word Girl's spaceship (just that, I don't remember a chapter as such), the other Latin American dubbing (the one you found on Facebook) is the dubbing that was done in my country Colombia is not lost, this on Pluto TV Latin America there are all the episodes of seasons 1, 7 and 8 of Word Girl from the Colombian dubbing of Pbs Kids, although not only the Latin dubbing (from Venezuela) is lost media, the Brazilian dubbing of Word Girl is also lost media (the name of the translation in that dubbing was Garota Supersábia), I want to mention that of the dubbing chapters In Venezuela, there are only 2 complete chapters uploaded to KZbin (Mr Big's Big plan/Vocab Bee, in Spanish the chapters are called El gran plan/Concurso de palabras) but I am happy to see that someone from the English Word Girl community mentioned the Latin dubbing what is lost media by Word Girl

A fact related to the almost lost Spanish dub, and that could be also added to the iceberg, is the failure of Word Girl in Latin America. Let me explain: WG was released here on August 3, 2009 in the channel Discovery Kids, aimed especially for children under 7, and, as you said, this show wasn't exactly for them. A few days after its release date, lots of parents complained about WG and its content, which considered violent and innappropiate for their children (what I think it's totally wrong). Only the first 2 seasons were aired and then in late 2010, due to the constant complaints, DK decided to move the show to a late night hour and finally removed it of the channel in 2012. Present day, WG is one of the most forgotten series of the channel, but I'd say also one of the most underrated. It's educational, funny and with memorable characters and jokes. What a shame that here in Latin America it's almost unknown. P.s. sorry if my English is bad, I'm not a native speaker

Comento casi 1 año tarde, me alegra no ser el unico que llego a ver Word Girl cuando se transmitió en Discovery Kids, también olvidaste mencionar otros detalles como el hecho de en México aún se siguió transmitiendo Word Girl en horario diurno hasta antes de que DK anunciara el estreno de Aventuras con los kratt (lo digo ya que ese dato lo encontré en una página web toda rara), también de que en todas las regiones Word Girl no se canceló en 2012 (si se cancelo en ese año pero antes de del 2011 en algunas regiones ya se habian cancelado), en Marzo de 2011 Word Girl fue cancelada en el feed sur de DK, en julio de 2011 se cancelo en el feed panregional y en el feed méxico se cancelo en junio de 2012

@@david_ytelretorno7369 no sabía que la serie se había dejado de emitir antes en Sudamérica, yo la verdad para finales de 2010 dejé de ver el canal por cuenta propia y solo habré visto fragmentos por mi hermano desde entonces, pero de lo poco que vi en 2011 ya no veía ningún anuncio de la serie y menos la emisión de otro capítulo, es más, luego de que terminó de estrenarse la segunda temporada a mediados de 2010 ya habían pocos anuncios.

@@TheDaniell1210 Parece que ya tenian planeado cancelar chica supersabia después de haberse terminado de estrenar los ultimos capitulos de la segunda temporada, ya que si mencionas que después de que se estreno el ultimo capitulo de la segunda temporada ya no habian casi anuncios de chica supersabia en DK eso debio haber sido un presagio antes de su cancelación por las constantes quejas, es verdad que la serie superaba (por muy poco) el tipo de publico al que estaba dirigido Discovery Kids pero no quita el hecho de que las criticas hacia la serie eran bastante injustificadas, y he visto en youtube que al parecer la ultima promo en la que aparece chica supersabia es en el especial de halloween de 2010 con breves fragmentos del capitulo de halloween de la temporada 2

Rhyme and Reason were a duo who were friends since they were kids, Reason obviously being the reason of the team, While Rhyme doing rhymes at the end of every sentence. They would commit a crime based off the rhyme which always sucks. So Reason gave up because it wasn't worth it, and Rhyme kinda just committed crimes in sadness, no rhyming. Reason came back, They made up, almost beat wordgirl but got beaten at the end. Now they're in jail(?)

Yeah, I recently rewatched the episode but like I said, I was there for the drama and paid attention to little else. I wish they had introduced Rhyme and Reason in a different episode so we could get to know them better, but alas it wasn't meant to be.

It's a good theory but people with progeria don't typically live very long 😥 so I don't think she would have that Although the oldest person with progeria is 40 but she seems to be an exception, typically those with this condition live until 13-20

Most of this is just.. naming characters and stuff that you’d easily know just watching the show.. skipping most of it because I know it already. I know it’s the shallows still, but am disappointed that there’s not much here yet that I’d think is worthy of being on the iceberg

have you seen other kid shows? the range for kid shows is very wide (surprisingly) all the way from Peppa Pig(a cartoon for babies) to Star Wars Clone Wars (more serious but still targeted towards children)
