Its Fun to hear you talk about your business and the Jargon that becomes second Nature to you that sounds like Japanese to the Layman.. Long Sheets Short Sheets, etc... ... Its cool to see and learn about different trades.. I am SOOO Excited about getting the knive brother.. as you ve said its a Sickness! I want the AD10 in 3V also but held back.. I am waitig to see whats next and selling some of mine in anticipation.. Im Sure we can all understand that the Anticipation of receiving a Knife you bought is as good if not better than actually posessing it!!

Ya it’s that rush you get of tracking something down then the wait of it coming. Then onto the next.

We’re always chasing that high, I think if people aren’t collectors of some sort it’s hard to explain to someone our hobby. Glad work is steady, I’m starting to see layoffs and furloughs in my area rising.

Ya for a long time I always Told myself I was a user. But I realized I can be both and enjoy my collection.

Man that’s a bummer. In your area specifically or just in the area

@@ScotchNThings starting to see it throughout my state. Hopefully whatever happens with the election might help, but I’m not holding my breath either way…

Glad you had a better work experience this week bro. Tried to jump on one of the XL’s this morning 😂. Always a joke trying to snag a strider drop

Haha. Ya it’s been nice. Ya the drops on the customs are crazy but I’m still amazed I scored one a couple years ago. So it can be done

Bro, love your videos, especially these style videos but can I send you a sunglasses cleaning cloth? Those filthy Oakleys are killing my OCD! Keep up the entertaining videos tho. 🫡

Haha. Thanks. Ya we had a couple bad days of wind and we are just covered in dirt. That and we spent a day taking out a old floor so the amount of dirt and dust is crazy

I found it's difficult to give my folders a fair shake when I keep adding to them, I've been successful at not purchasing and focusing on what I have and it's become easier to decide what stays or goes,I'm hopping to get down to one pelican 1525,plus I only have one safe, don't you love waking up in the middle of the nite and you have to think where am I,do you ever get some good invites for pheasant hunting
@ScotchNThings2 ай бұрын
Ya it’s weird that having so many was starting to just be overwhelming. And ya the alarm goes off and you’re just like I can’t wait to get back here so I can sleep again. Not in Nebraska at least where I’ve been the pheasants almost seem non existent. But man when we’re are in Kansas they are everywhere seeing them just hanging out on the side of the road and hearing them who we work is almost surreal

When working in Kansas years ago I would get a couple for lunch and dinner every other day. Great pheasant hunting there.

That gig sounds like a young mans game. Travel, never home, long days, drunken nights, rinse and repeat. 30 days without seeing my wife and kids and dogs....couldn't pay me enough. I guess if you're the owner/proprietor making 300k a year I would do it but not one of the grunts making $40k year. Quite frankly anyone who blows 50k year on knives has a problem. I would like to see you grab your collection and let your guys personally pick a knife from your collection. A once a year Kershaw for less than a $100 is a slap in the face when your walking around with 5k of jewelry in your pocket. Take care of your hard workers because without them your nothing.....

Sounds likes you never owned a construction company. You are correct, employees keep the machine running but are not taking any risk. I'm sure Steve always made sure employees were paid while he hadn't had a payday for weeks or months. All risk and expenses fall on owner.
@ScotchNThings2 ай бұрын
I’m sorry you feel that way. But I do know how valuable my crew is. I’d put them up against any bin crew in the country and I’m not just saying that. I’ve watched a lot of other crews and my guys work put them to shame. But a knife is just a tool to them. But they get compensated very well. They don’t pay for any food on the job if we are home or away. Their work clothes from outerwear to boots are covered. Use of a truck. Paid to sit at home for 3 months of the year and an expensive fishing trip at the end of the season that means more to them then any knife would. And that’s just the stuff off the top of my head
@kidwichita20982 ай бұрын
@ScotchNThings You certainly don’t owe anyone a explanation, more especially a true Marxist like that 💩!

Wow! Pretty unfair assessment of Steve and his situation. I can tell you he does more to engage and care for his employees than most do. Who gives a shit about what HE decides to do with his earnings. That said, I can tell you no one gives more knives away at great prices than Steve does when he decides to sell. All that aside who are any of us to f-king cast judgement? Steve keep being you dude.
