Review is excellent! Did not know about the software to control screens. My CD player hasnt worked in years. UPDATE: Picked up some wired speakers. If u can't hear sound right click on speaker icon in sys tray. Open playback, u need to disable the monitor inside playback options.

Great vídeo! Sorry for the complicated question, but is the 29WL500-b somehow different from the normal 29WL500? I found a store selling It for cheaper than others, but It has the "-b" in the ending of the name. Your video is actually the only one i found reviewing It

Answering one year later... I'm looking at newer model of this actually and it's why I'm here. Back to your question, the -B at the end of the model is for color. There are some models with -W which stands for white colored monitors.

Hi @mrbear4495 , since u r using this already. I have few queries would like if you can answer them. 1. Since its sports picture in picture all picture by picture and also has to HDMI inputs. Does that mean I can connect two laptops and see screens from both of them side by side? 2. Have you also tried the same kind of monitor from view Sonic? If yes does that also support split screen?

@@nssandhu4401 Hiya, bud. To be honest I haven't tried the PiP function. Given its price I dare say it has two separate inputs for switching only. I haven't tried the ViewSonic monitor as these two are perfectly sufficient (actually more than!) for my needs.

Ho, Beza! It's a great video. I have a question and would be grateful if you can help me with it. So I bought this monitor as the second screen for my laptop. And I can't stop feeling that colors are off. Gamma is not natural, my dell laptop is doing much better job. I saw you're making some premiere Pro work, so it should be important for you too. Can you please say, if you make some color and gamma settings change on monitor itself or on PC? I tried everything, but some contrast or smth else is still off. And it's ruining this monitor for me.

Yes I do find the colour is off when editing so if I do any colour correction I’m looking at my laptop not the monitor unfortunately

Yeah you need to do video calls on your laptop because there is no webcam in the monitor. So you’ll have to connect your laptop and use that camera or buy a webcam that can clip on top of your monitor

Hey, many thanks for the video. I'm considering to buy this one but also a bit hesitant due to the resolution (and potential aftermath with PPI score). I will also use it as a work machine and my workload is full of spreadsheets, powerBI and word documents, also my viewing distance is around 80cm. Does pixel density create any eye sore on your eyes when viewing for long hours? or is the pixelation irritating you during usage?

Unfortunately they lie about all these ultrawide LG's refresh rates. In theory they don't. Yes these monitors can give 75hz. But not in 2560x1080 res. Only in 1280x1080 res. Otherwise all you get is 60hz :/ It's a scam to write there 75hz. I mean maybe you can even write 90hz but only on 640x480. It's like a joke. This monitor has to work in 2560x1080. Not any single soul would like to buy this monitor and use it at 1280x1080.

I just can't be bothered with speakers at the moment

My small desk size was the reason why I went with 29”. This size allowed me to have some space on the ends for a lamp and a cup of coffee/water. But if you have a large desk, 34” may be a better balance

Yes Zoom will allow you to share a tab or specific window (e.g. PowerPoint) - I've used Zoom and Mircosoft Teams and with the app you can have the meeting on one side with and share the screen that's on the other side. No issues at all
