I’ve been feeling anxiety lately because of work and the deadline with the 401k audit and financial review audit. It’s so hard to shake that thought and feeling and what you say in this video is correct. Last year I felt the same thing and those feelings don’t go away until the audit is over. I’m trying this year after listening to this video to acknowledge and bring awareness to those anxiety feeling. What a lovely message, that our body is our friend and we can listen to it ❤.

Hi Amy. I am sorry you are feeling stressed. Do you have to deal with this Audit every year? l don't know much about audits. I know what they are for and I can only imagine. I've always had extreme anxiety. Now that I am older, I can control it. However, when I was younger - I was in a panic constantly thinking I was not going to live to see the next day due to the weird feelings or symptoms. In my world the adults always said " You are fine. Stop being a baby." But that is how they grew up, so that is all they knew. I can't blame them for that. But as a young adult I started getting weird "allergy symptoms" out of nowhere as well. They were so severe that I couldn't go anywhere for months! Which made it all worse. I sneezed constantly, had an extremely stuffy but runny nose and watery eyes every single day... for months. To make a long story short, through observations of when it would happen, when it would subside etc, I realized - it was stress. It was extreme tension in my neck! I still have the issue but through stretching, exercising my shoulders and neck and just knowing my triggers, it doesn't happen very often. When it does, I know I need to just calm down. And I do my best to do just that. So the bad side though is any time I try to really concentrate on things, it'll make me sneeze now or if someone is stressing me out or if I am not wanting to be somewhere, Ill start sneezing, my ears start clogging.. hahahah I am literally a mood ring now! But yes, my body and I are in this together and I need to love the fact that it is looking out for me by trying to tell me that I am having an issue internally. I don't even know I am feeling unhappy until it happens and It makes me stop and check in with myself. So that is good. Sorry, this was long. 😊🥰💚 Keep up your exercising - it'll help you get through it. Burns away a lot of the anxiety as well.

@@QuotablePerspective Before I start my workout today, I wanted to take a bit of time to respond to your message. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. I’m learning a little bit more about you as time goes on, and now it makes sense why you created your channel. You have ways to ease anxiety and channel peaceful thoughts and feelings within yourself, and I think that’s awesome. So many people struggle with anxiety, anger, and other negative thoughts and feelings, and they don’t know how to deal with them. Stress can be harmful to our health. It’s amazing that you're creating these videos to help calm us when we need it the most. As for your question, for now, I do handle the audit every year. Honestly, it’s my own fault for the stress I experience. If I managed my time better and communicated to my boss about the things I can’t do, I wouldn’t be in this situation. But I procrastinate and try to figure things out on my own before involving others in the department. I think everyone has their own workload to manage, so I try to do my part as well. Thankfully, I haven't suffered too much from anxiety, but there was a time back then about 10 years ago when I had to take over the Staff Accountant role while the person training me went on vacation. I would wake up dreading going to work because I didn’t know what to do. I was learning Accounting and QuickBooks at the same time, so I was really stressed out, worried that I wouldn’t be able to meet the deadlines without help. Anyway, I got through it, and things got better as I continued to focus on learning every day. My boss (the CFO) likes to throw tasks at me, like tossing me into the deep end and expecting me to figure it out on my own, so after a while, I got used to it. Now I don’t care as much, which is another issue, LOL.

@@AmyChau0917 The part about your boss throwing you into the deep end, I always call that sink swim method. I worked for a lawyer for a couple years as his Legal Assistant - he did that to me. It taught me so much though. I still use a lot of things I learned in my every day life. Yeah, apathy is a double-edged sword for sure :) Thank you Amy. I love watching your videos as well. I am very glad we connected!
