Anders Holm liked every sneaker you like now 20 years ago. The Workaholics co-creator talks here about his long footwear history-from getting an early pair of Air Jordan 6s as a kid to watching the Three Stripes Posse in high school to getting free Reeboks during his time in college. Holm waxes poetic on sneaker trends that have come and gone, and how he was there for it all. Sambas, Salomons, New Balances, Holm had them all. He even met Virgil Abloh in college, between getting caught up in an NCAA sneaker scandal. The show was fantastic. It was mind-boggling to witness Welty's initial hostility and strong inclination towards gatekeeping, only to completely reverse his stance and advocate for sneaker reselling shops. It seems that the significance of sneaker culture and the sense of community surrounding it only matters until it directly impacts one's own personal interests.

My weirdest workaholics sneaker memory. It was like 2011 maybe 10... I was in a local platos closet looking for deals. Some Workaholics Lakai caught my eye and looked genuinely cool to me. Being the sneaker snob I am I left them on the shelf, and grabbed the adidas Handball in blue and neon green. I made the right choice but missed out on a seldom seen shoe not many even remember.

My sneaker habits are very in line with the guest. Im from New England... we never liked wearing the same thing as everyone. I still rock Rod Lavers (you cant even find them in the OG colorway.)since everyone is rocking NB I dont wear mine nearly as much anymore. And I mentioned earlier I purchased some Adidas Handball over Workaholics Lakai in a Platos closet over a decade ago. The handball from adidas is nothing more than a Samba in different colors.
