@@Workbenchtv I've always used CC Scale Wipe for that. It's also a little less resource intensive than keylight and you can also do... a little LESS stretching.
@Workbenchtv3 жыл бұрын
@@Zenzuke Oh definitely. It takes a little more tweaking if you just want a straight smear though, but CC Scale Wipe is a great one to keep in mind.

I've been using AE for 10 years now and I still got 3 or 4 solid tips out of this. Nice work :)

Nice! Thanks! This is volume 8 so if you haven't seen the others there's useful stuff in them too.

Neat! My favorite was the poor man stretch.
@Workbenchtv4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It is a great one! I didn't think to mention it, but I bet you can do a trick I do often. Take a transform effect and rotate your layer, then apply that stretching technique, then apply another transform with the reverse rotation to bring it back. Then you can stretch in any direction. I've shown that technique to change horizontal/vertical only controls into angular controls before but I should probably make it a quick tip.

@@Workbenchtv Oh wow! An extra tip! That sounds useful for using a fast blur in any angle! Thanks for sharing so much with us.

Oh dang tip 05 I didn't even think of using an adjusment layer. I'm usually using unmult and inverting then alpha masking ontop of itself such a mess lol
@Workbenchtv4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think I started using that after Andrew Kramer's last tutorial on glows, but I've been using it for all sorts of other useful things-including the fun one where you've built something and then you realize it looks great but as soon as you put a background layer in it blows up for some reason but now you need to have it be fully opaque™.

Hey Joe, Got a quicktip for u for next round. If an AE dialog window(for ex: comp settings Window) is way off from center of the screen, you can move the window back manually and then hit Shift click OK, and it will remember where the window is for next time it opens.
@Workbenchtv4 жыл бұрын
Hey nice. I think I might've read that somewhere, but I completely forgot. Thanks Paul! I don't know why Quick Menu kept doing it, although it's a panel so I might be SOL. :)
@paul_edit.motion4 жыл бұрын
@@Workbenchtv Doesnt look like u move the quickmenu around. There is a checkbox in the settings to put it in the second display.
@Workbenchtv4 жыл бұрын
@@paul_edit.motion AH! You know what? I have an LG 49" display, so it's normally in the middle because I work in the middle. But when I record, all of the menus are on the left, so I move AE to the edge just in case I need to get something from a menu. So that's why it was on the other edge, which is the middle of the display.

Either FX Console (www.videocopilot.net/blog/2018/05/fx-console-updated-to-v1-0-3/) or QuickMenu (aescripts.com/quick-menu/). I think I might've used both in this tutorial.
