СФИР Et. ЅЕᑫОНЖ (Worker & Parasite) is an Eastern Europe's favorite cartoon Cat and Mouse Team. The cartoon was made in a country that no longer exists. The animated series was released from 1959 to 1963. There were 10 episodes in total, each about a minute long.

Looks like Worker and Parasite were fast asleep, when the factory bell went off. Worker dutifully awoke, but Parasite decided to catch some zzzz's. Worker, being a company man, informs the foreman that Parasite is sleeping during work. For this infraction, Parasite is taken to the Gulag, and probably forced to do hard labor. Poor Parasite.

I love the utter misuse of Cyrillic letters (at least in the credits) based on which English letters they look like. It's fun trying to pronounce the result.

That's the weird thing... it's complete misuse of Cyrillic, some letters are meant to be faux Cyrillic (that look like Latin alphabet), then they use Cyrillic to spell out English words, then they use actual Slavic words... the note at 0:35 is a perfect example, the top spells out "кфмяду" which is transliterated as "kfmyadu" but looks like komrady so it's likely meant to be passed off as "comrades" or "friends" as it's Soviet. The second line of the main letter reads "иs тунеядеz" which upsets me because "иs" is a mix of Cyrillic "i" and Latin "s" so they're saying English word "is", and "тунеядец" is just full on Slavic/Russian for "parasite" but "ц" is replaced with Latin "z". So they're giving their boss a letter saying "... is a parasite." ratting on his mouse colleague. I don't know what the rest means.

@@timfilmstudio6437 Also on the message he gives to KGB guy it says ''Seronzh (which is parasite in this language, judging by the titles) is (English but cyrillic ''I'' letter) tuneyadez (which in Russian means someone who avoids work, essentially ''parasite'', only with some latin and wrong Cyrillic letters. So it is rather clever. Also judging by this, orginal is not called ''worker and parasite'' but they have names, probably ''Sfir'' and ''Seronzh'' as the Cyrillic makes us believe, because when he is denounced to KGB as I said, the name Seronzh is used :D
