Passed by there with a run club one morning and it was hot so we were looking for water fountains to hydrate…the migrants broke all the public water fountains around the area so that they could sell water and cold drinks from their coolers instead. Either that or the fountains just looked really dirty or unsanitary like they were used for showering cause there was a used soap bar in one of them.

It should not be the responsibility of NYC to deal with the failures of USCIS/ICE, CBP, and our federal government. In fact, these Republican states are only making the problem worse in Democrat states by moving illegal entrants into the US to them. This crisis is only being created because of applicant caps for immigration, coupled with the fact that if an illegal entrant goes into the United States they could be inadmissible for at least ten years?! The way to get out of this bureaucratic nightmare is to hire more immigration officials to process applications and crunch the decade long backlog, and to provide a reasonable turnaround for those trying to dodge CBP.
