For sure man, I actually turned in an application for ambassador the other day. The job definitely isn’t for everyone but if your able bodied and have a strong work ethic, you really can’t go wrong. Other then busting ass and hitting good rates is there anything specific other then good common job practices you would recommend in trying to get promoted?

I just watched this video for the first time! To promote this I’m glad you said it’s a personal opinion because I have seen people grow in position while DOING some of the things you just said. My personal experience. What it sounds like is your basically saying get down or lay down simulating to a bad system and your comfortable on saying this. There is more to say but stay more open to just kissing up.

I definitely agree when challenging a senior, it is best to do it outside of the group, but in a respectful tone. Unless it’s someone on your level then it’s okay to benchmark yourself and be self critical. One thing I will say is that they really look for the people who handle non-negotiables like coding, Engagements, HRR’s, IT, and especially holding people accountable. Which in my opinion is the hardest thing to do.

I was begging my PAs and Supervisors for problem solving and all they did was ignore me. 2 months later, (rn) I complained in my voice that the warehouse management is not meeting the company ethics/ principle of despite incompetence, people who are willing to want to learn will get the chance to learn. I had the OPS manager come talk to me and he will make sure my supervisor trains me for problem solving ☑️. It’s disappointing that I had to beg them so I’m not laborshared in pick or gift wrapping on pack…

@@realkevintorres hey! Yeah I have an update, I still work at Amazon, I’m not a PA or management yet, only because I find working indirect roles more beneficial to learn the building as of right now. I did get my voice out there tho! I’m close to a lot of people at the facility I work at I did IOL (inventory in odd location) for a year while also doing Inbound and ICQA Problem Solve and I got a little bored since I was doing it for a bit but now I’m an AFM and have been for a year and a half, I’m also an ICQA associate instead of a stower now. I know I’m qualified to apply for PA, but I want to learn more about certain things before that. Stow is super easy tho! Go to a floor with a good manager, get that rate and quality good, and ask if you can learn an indirect role. It’ll be better on that application too

I probably could've went down the path of promotion by becoming a PG in stow. Problem is I hate water spider and didn't want anything to do with it. That's another way to not get promoted. I've been offered ways to start climbing and just haven't ran with it. I blame myself but at the same time, can tell that I just don't want to move up at Amazon then. I'd rather career choice into CDL license driving trucks or something else. As far as walking around with a walkie-talkie, I couldn't be bothered. -Also i'm usually very nice and would never talk or belittle my managers, I'm very much a hard-working introvert, and that quiet/nice stuff also will keep you from a promotion.

I feel you and nothing wrong with that at all, it’s all about how you feel, your personal goals and plans. I just know I needed to move to a better area and stack up seen it didn’t require as much as moving up at other jobs took it and ran with. We all have our own paths 🤞🏾💪🏾

I just want to preface that the amazon I work at are all of the same ethnic background… its really hard to get promoted in a job when ur manager prefers someone from the same country that their from. Also they speak their language rather than english. What would your advice be on this situation. I am a consistent worker and work hard. Never challenged leadership and bridges gaps and concerns when need be.

Say I went to one of my managers after clocking out of frustration and respectfully told her my issue which was like was feeling there were gatekeepers because there were people who came after me and got positions I went for which they say I had write up and never did.. long story short she understood exactly what I was saying and next time I went back to work I was told I could get the position. Just have to be respectful when approaching someone with the matter.

My question is the following.... IF a regular AA or a PA can cut down a manager in an argument and actually win the argument... Is that a good Manager in the first place? Just putting it out there. Its like a rookie stock broker running game on a vet.. Highly embarrasing to the vet because its something that should NEVER or almost never happen. And embarrassment and anger stems from lack of qualifications to defend or take the correct stance. So yes you are right they won the battle but lost the war but is the company winning the war having someone like that as a Manager?

Really don't blame employees for complaining about the incentive structure. If you're a top performer you're probably burning 1000 extra calories a day that you didn't have to and that costs money. What your reward? 2 dollars of vending machine bucks? Lol stupid. Work hard eat more and have less. At Amazon if you work hard you lose!!!

Another reason being a top performer can be a good idea is it can lead to other positions that are less manual labor. I was the top performer in pack in singles, multis, BOD, and NonCon. But now I mainly pg or work in problem solve. Those spots require more thought but are lot less physical. Though you also have to show an interest in learning and not be afraid to ask questions or request repeatedly to be trained in different areas.

I watch some of your videos and it’s good but this one I cannot agree with this. This depends on the fulfillment center. In minds they promote the bad ones the ones you describe and also challenging, some even reach an L6. In Amazon you just need to pass that interview to be incline and some bad ones kick these interviews and got promoted Also politics play in promotion to and I will leave it like that

At any minimum wage labor jobs from my experience. They don't care about your strong opinions (even if when they are right). I challenge the manger and stand up for myself all the time. These labor jobs want people who are ignorant, poor, desperate with low self-esteem. If you are a free thinker, in-shape, strong welled, intelligent, with a healthy self-esteem and have better options. They won’t like that.😅 I dont understand why anyone would want to get promoted a these crappy companies with horrible working conditions and little pay. For me, I can't care less. I am not going to work my hardest, use my brain, and put extra effort for a company that doesn't give a crap about me.. My manager asked me if I wanted be promoted. I said no. ...while looking at him like he was crazy. I never want to get promoted to stress out over someone else's business. No thank you.
