That 1066 sure got some power, surprises me that it pulls that many feet of field cultivator and a drag I'm thinking you will be the winner on the yield competition on the oats😅

Another great video! Really enjoy watching the 1066 doing tillage. Looks like oats are working their way up. I planted some spring wheat about 3 weeks ago and it took a couple weeks before it started sprouting. Congratulations to Justin for passing his gun safety course.

What some nice looking dirt. I have clay. I call it four minute ground. From the time you crack the crust to the time you get the seeds in you have four minutes. Lolololo. Today I went over ground we planted barley in. We planted it just before it rained. Now I’m trying to break the crust. It’s all sprouted but keeps hitting the crust.

Looks like that field cultivator does a pretty good job. We got 7 acres of corn planted Monday, grandpa is hoping to get a start on a 18 acre field tomorrow. Trying to work around the rain but definitely can't complain. Looks like it may be a pretty good year. Hope everything goes well for you!

Your ground works up nice. Congratulations on the gun safety! Is that part of a hunter saftey program? I remember tjat being a rite of passage when I was young. Seems to be fading with the way hunter numbers are dwindling.

Our local sportsman's club hosts the class. Minnesota requires so many hours of class time and a test. They cover a lot about guns, but also ethical hunting, processing game, and more.

Can I ask why you don't cultivate on an angle through those corn stalks? I was taught to always hit the rows at an angle to maximize ripping the old stalks out of the ground. Love seeing that old red iron doing it's thing!!

With so many corn stock roots what is the best crop to plant after corn?
@trinitydairy4 ай бұрын
It doesn't matter to much, if I'm planting a small grain, I'll roll the field, to pack that stuff down.
