Kenzie Anne it doesn't matter that the species is a animal that is common. I'm a wolf. You could create a design with some thing that you know that will make you happy and probbibly be able to draw it again and again... it doesn't matter if someone had a similar idea for it :D (I realized that there is a ton of dark grey wolves with a teal blue poof with white paws and a white belly XD) (So sorry for spelling mistakes XD)

I know I'm super late but I couldn't help myself. You could always make a hybrid if you demand originality-- a dragon fox, a folf, or something similar helps to add character while retaining as many original features as you want! But as long as you're happy there's no need for forced originality. I'm curious what your character is nowadays!

You could try using a ribbon, assuming gender,tie it around and make a bow, or something.

I've been a furry for about a year now and joined the fandom last year after MFF. Thing is: In honor to a friend from class, I told him I'd create a Roo character for him , named after a word he often uses to make me laugh (kinda cringy). Dear Pocari, I joined the fandom to make real friends. I work in fashion & couldn't get a real friend for seemingly nothing. I joined the fandom, got a suit, & became refreshed. Seems we have opposite problems lol. I can tell you though it may be hard, those who you find are genuine, will be people you couldn't wish for in your wildest dreams Your extreme situation will result in extreme friendships & sadly extreme fakes. I have a tortoise shell named Calliope, Lil Cal for short. She is sof and likes to jump on my lap and sleep. So, I have a question. I'm not amazing at art. (I'm ok, but not great.) Do I have to attempt to make a reference sheet from scratch? Or are there outlines I can use to color myself, or can I describe a character I have in mind to the fursuit maker? Or should I work with a separate artist to commission a reference for my character?
