The big log entryway into Red Moose Ranch, serving as the logo for @LifeontheMoose, was erected in 2016 after the wildfire, using standing dead Ponderosa pine. In this video I detail the construction method and reasoning behind my design.
Now it needs a bit of work. The long thru-bolts (threaded rod) that hold the logs in place need to be tightened, one log post needs to be straightened, and the whole thing needs a fresh coat of stain.
It's a fairly tall structure for our equipment, and yours truly does not like heights! But Karen and I manage to get the job done, in typical creative fashion. The results are well worth the effort (and fear!).
I just hope the ladder doesn't break...
Thanks for watching!
