Carl Lewis is right . Marketing for Track is very weak and this is a top tier sport that should get just as much recognition as any other sport. Let’s hope NBC can post every replay of every event on time this year. If you don’t watch it live on television then good luck finding it .. for free at least😂

Carl Lewis - great sportsman and great coach. But he is also a humble person and does a great job. Track and Field used to be my life in the 80's and 90's. I will never forget my competitions and training sessions.

Thanks! I like is ‘long ball’ message. Last year US track & field looked unbeatable in late spring. Problem was the Olympics wasn’t in late spring. This was also sad for me seeing that youngsters running hands on hips, high knees, on technique day, could blow right by me with ease.

all sprint coaches have it wrong, pushing against the ground does not produce faster speed. if it did then high jumpers would be the fastest runners, because they have the best strength to weight ratio. seriously guys, these coaches don't know what it takes to get faster, they are just guessing.

Dude in the middle is fast but he keeps butt kicking because hes not synching up the down swing of his arm and leg simultaneously. You can see the fastest guy farther from the camera in the eagle eye view is quick because hes cycling right under and has better front side mechanics ( hes not butt kicking )

This is where Matt Boling should be. Can't imagine any coach being a better match for Boling's strengths than Carl Lewis. Really seems like his potential is being wasted at Georgia. He's barely improved since HS and his form has gotten worse.

@@dannypetros3169 That's very unlikely. He just recently ran new PRs and went under 10 in the 100 and 20 in the 200, making him the 2nd athlete in history to do so and also jump over 8m in the long jump alongside Carl Lewis. I think it's more a product of picking up bad habits like running extremely tight. Georgia also put him in too many events over too long a season last year which limited his progress.

@@mstrunn .... it was he, Carl Lewis who did say Jamaica's drug testing isn't up to par, therefore Bolt must be on PEDs to be winning against his USA opponents and others, with such times. I lost all respect for Carl's comment then, knowing he too failed a PED test. Therefore I am hoping he ain't giving them PEDs, rather than sound advice.

@elijahebbert6884
@elijahebbert6884 Жыл бұрын
What you said makes no sense. First off the fastest sprinters also happen to have the highest force production into the ground. Second high jumpers generate more force because they have longer contact times, sprinters can't afford to have longer contact times on the ground because the friction slows them down at high speeds. Pretty simple.
