With these buttons I can pretty much run what I want? I have a pursuit and was planning on using them as say a nitrous on/off switch, bottle heater switch and trans lock 😈. Since I have the plain Jane body I'd like to keep it Gramma fresh as possible.

Another great install video, as always, you do an excellent job with all your video's brother, it viewed perfectly for me, very clear and in focus. What a great mod for $60.00 and 30 mins of your time, I think anyway!! I especially like the fact that I can map a Light Show into 1 of the buttons, as I am a Paramedic and through the summer months I do "ON-CALL" shifts and do have to use my own car, so I have set up my own Light Show that looks awesome, blending my Scat Packs Light Show with the Whelen Behind the Grill LED Light, a Whelen LED Dash Light and a Whelen LED Visor Light on the passenger side, the whole car is ALL LIT UP now, but of course, there are still idiots driving blind and DO NOT see me coming up behind them, even with ALL those friggin' lights flashing...lol...But my point is that it'll be so much quicker and easier for me just to hit a single button on the steering wheel, rather than the original method of lighting up the car. Thank you for the install video and the link to Steve White as well. I will definitely order one of these Aux Button Switches on Monday from them. On a side note, your Scat Pack is really nice, with all the extra goodies you've done to it. I haven't done much to my Scat Pack at all other than a couple of things. The 1st thing I did was a Mid-Muffler Delete, the best $60 I've spent for 2 Stainless Steel pipes and at that time I also added Black Polished 45* degree Quad Rectangle Tail Pipes that are even with the rear bumper, they look really nice and the overall width of the tailpipe is 8 1/4" whereas the stock tails are 8 3/8" so I don't see that difference at all and the angle of the Quads match the angle of the bumper, which was a concern for me. I wanted the pipes to match the angle of the rear bumper and NOT just to be 90* degree squared off tail pipes, so I'm happy with them and it's been 2 years now and the Black Polished metal still looks new. Of course I store the car through the winter months, which I'm sure helps in keeping them looking nice as well. I did the install of a Hurst Short Throw Shifter mated to a Carbon Fiber Pistol Grip from Hurst as well, and a 180* T-Stat, a Black Hex Filter from R2C Performance replacing that Blue Mopar filter they used in my SHAKER Package, I also did a Full Lighting Replacement including the Foglights with the Flicker Modules and I went with the 510 Lumen Foglight Bulbs and all the other interior lights I decided on Cool White from Diode Dynamics. Obviously, I have a TAZER as well with everything activated and I drive it 99% of the time in TRACK Mode because the car sounds so good with the Active Exhaust always open!! Lol...I also replaced the Black START button with a RED start button, that was a PITA but it looks much better to me. I also had a All Round 25% Window Tint done, which looks very nice with the Maximum Steel paint and last year I had a Mopar Challenger "C" Stripe added to the side of the car as well and it looks amazing. The Black Matte matches perfectly with the Bumble Bee Trunk Stripe that came with the car. Last week I ordered an E&G Classic Rear Window Louver, so it should be here this week. I'm looking forward to adding it to the Scat Pack, so hopefully I'll have it by the weekend and I'll do the install next Sat, weather permitting. I'm now looking at new tires and I'm going with 275/40/20's on all 4 corners but I was considering 245/45's on the front and 275/40's on the rear, for a staggered look, but I'm not sure it would make much of a visual difference, since I've not seen that combo in person and I can't see anything different on the few I've seen in pictures, so I'll just go with all 4 tires being the 275/40/20's instead, then I can rotate all 4 rather than just the 2 going from left to right. I'm looking at either NITTO NT555 G2 tires or the BFGoodrich G-Force Sport Comp2 tires as replacements. I have those same BFG tires on my 2014 Chrysler 300 SRT and they are nice tires, I like them a lot and I have all 4 in 275/40/20 as well. The SRT is my winter car but I change out the Black Vapor Wheels and BFG tires for Cooper AS tires on the front and Cooper Snow Tires on the rear, with Black Steelies from the Charger Police Package to get me through all the winter shit weather. But, I've noticed that you are using Atturo Tires, so I am going to go watch that video next and I'll see what you have to say about them, so maybe I'll change my mind on the Nitto NT555 G2 & BFG G-Force Sport Comp2 rubber?? Regarding the emergency setup, I know zAutomotive is working on a breakout box with relays to control Emergency lights with the light show settings. Not sure where they are with this, but you may want to reach out and offer yourself up for a Beta. Interior lights in white are one of the best mods I've done. I used these 18 LED pontoon bulbs from amazon and they have been holding strong for over a year now. My fogs I went with the Diode Dynamics XML2 1420 lumens in 5000K again another awesome upgrade so my front lights all match. I wanted to do the red push to start, just haven't found the time to schedule it in yet. ! agree go with the 275/40/20 all around so you can rotate them ;) visually I didn't notice an appearance difference when I ran the stock 245/45/20s with the 275/40/20 in the rear. You can check my Instagram for photos of the car over the last year. I put 275s on all for corners last month. I don't drive the car in the snow so I can't speak for the Atturo snow performance, but in the rain they are excellent and grip better than stock on the dry pavement.

What kind of camera did you purchase for your Challenger scat pack? I’d like to perform the same modification to our 2021 Challenger R/T scat pack widebody shaker. Is there anyway to add a Camera application to the infotainment in order to switch back-and-forth between The front and rear camera? In the 2020 Durango RT there is a camera button where you turn on The ventilated seats or heated seats. You can actually even activate the camera while driving in the Durango R/T or Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

I added a camera to my 2015 and was able to switch by double tapping the mute button. The 2021’s have a different radio setup. I recommend reaching out to zAutomotive to determine if the same functionality exists with the new uConnect.

The button remap is a "Live feature", these require the TaZer to be connected for them to work.

Yup, I replace the map lights with red LEDs every time I go to the drag strip. this way I can have some light in the car without being blinded. Normal daily driving I have these ridiculous 15 LED ultra white bulbs.

You can remap them as well however they will do their original function AND the Tazer mapped function.

That might work fine, use the ACC On/Off button as stock with no remap, and then the double function on the distance buttons, so the only conflict would be with ACC On, something you could easily work around.

Not that I know of... You would need something like the TaZer to to unlock the additional inputs, allow you to switch to them and also the A/V kit wiring to insert into your radio wiring harness so you can plug in an input source. I've got a 2016 Challenger and the Sport mode is disabled when I enable SRT mode. So just to get this straight, with the engine on, hold the left arrow and press the Sport button on the console while in the audio screen right? Do you need to let the car cycle again? I've been trying to figure out how to get this to work and it's driving me nuts. I like the SRT Mode but I cannot drive without Sport.

You can’t remap sport, but you could map it to a custom drive mode. Try mapping it to SRT track mode

Congrats on the new Scat Pack! It's possible to map the custom drive mode, don't think eco mode is possible, however the TaZer is updated often and Joe is active in the Mopar communities... Good luck with the install it's fairly simple once you get past the airbag release.

So question on the button remapping general firmware updates, when updated firmware versions come out, it's been suggested that you need to change all the settings back to stock configuration before loading the next version firmware....does this include the mapped buttons?. I have 2016 Charger SP and like to know if I change the setup to SRT and remap the sport button and newer firmware comes out, I assume I need to revert back to stock before loading....if I don't, I'm just not sure how this will now effect the mapped buttons?

I'm installing some Kindig-it Design Exhaust Cutouts and was looking for options for the button, this looks like a better idea and got me wondering if its possible to use one of the AUX switches to control the cutouts?

I don't think this would be possible without some intense programming, as they are not on/off switches they just send signal that is processed by the car. The Tazer is remapping these to functions that exist in the car or the Tazer. I checked out the Kindig-it Design looks sweet, I have a set of NoWeeds diverters in transit, should be here next week I cannot wait for more loud. I do agree It would be awesome if the steering wheel buttons could control this

Scratch that, I just spoke with zautotech and they are making a canbus add on or the TaZer to allow on / off functionality from the AUX buttons. I'm waiting to hear back on a release date so maybe I can use them for my Diverters :)

BUT, it's sort of a double-map... so don't map the ACC on/off button as it'll do both the tazer function and turn ACC on and off, so that button can't be used. But the nearer and closer buttons can be mapped, and I coded the tazer such that they should only do the tazer function while ACC is off, and when ACC is on, the tazer ignores those buttons."

With the TaZer those 3 buttons are not mappable to functions outside the TaZer options currently available, you may need to do some modifications to get it done or Contact them to see if custom mapping is an option. You are definitely not the first person that wanted to do this. The front cam is not in it's final home yet, I'm still trying to find the perfect spot for it without having to cut anything or have some silly project box in plain sight. Waiting for warmer weather to tear down the front end.

quality is limited by the 8.4 uConnect screen. This cam is good, glad it's available again. yes, but in the next few weeks zAutomotive will be releasing a new product that eliminates the need to take apart your steering wheel. They found if you remove the blank plate over the buttons there are functional contacts so they developed buttons that snap in.

You can remap the sport button on a 2015 to a custom drive mode that includes all sport options. My 2015 Scat Pack sport button works with SRT enabled. What model do you have?

I have 2015 RT. The remapping isn't the biggest issue. I believe the big problem I can't get around is that sport and track only work if you have a red key and even in custom mode you can change everything except for engine where it asks for a red key to switch (it thinks it's a hellcat) to sport or track (as soon as I click on sport on custom it asks for 700+ hp red key). There may be no fix :(

I've got some bad news on that one. These are known issues that may not be fixed because this area offers no functionality in the 5.7 The below is from the FAQ www.zautotech.com/docs/Tazer%20FAQs.pdf If you have a 2015/2016 Charger 3.6 or 5.7, setting SRT will result in an airbag error. Nothing unlocked in SRT mode works on the 3.6/5.7, so no reason to enable SRT on these cars. You can still get all the EVIC performance pages and add sport mode if you don’t already have it. - If you have a 2015/2016 Challenger 3.6 or 5.7, enabling SRT will not result in an airbag error, but the uconnect will think you have a Hellcat and are using the black key, so sport, track, and valet modes will be inaccessible.

I did and got the custom mode to work on the sport button. Is there any way to remap the backup camera to the traction control button or any other unused button? -Thanks for the quick response

The other buttons in that panel are not mappable only Sport. You can double tap mute to switch to the backup cam. Note at about 8mph the cam will shut off

Ok, cool. Thanks!! (Need help with another issue) I had a set of LED lights from my 2016 challenger RT plus (worked fine) Then i put the same set on my new 2017 challenger scat pack and for some reason they blink but wont stay on. Anyway to fix this?
