Looks good. How do you heat it? I use a small propane forced heater in my garage workshop, but I am considering putting in a permanent natural gas heater, which I think would make the space much more "friendly" to winter projects.

I use two 5000 watts overhead forced air heaters, gotta use electricity since I don't have natural gas available where I am. To save on energy cost I rigged a NEST thermostat to control both of them. You can see a tutorial of this here if you want to check that out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZ6QeIiVYpx6jZo Thanks again for watching, hope you're having a great summer!

Question: How can I turn off power to a step motor once it has ended the loop cycle, so it doesn't get hot . Is there any way to add in the code or command do accomplish this?
@BrainybitsCanada5 жыл бұрын
Hi Joel, I know that on the EasyDriver board there is 2 pins: 'Sleep/Wake' and 'Enable/Disable' Setting the Enable pin to HIGH will turn off the current to the Stepper Motor, LOW will turn the current back on. Now the Sleep pin will do the same thing, but in reverse, LOW will turn off the EasyDriver completely including turning off the current to the Stepper, this is like turning off the power to the EasyDriver sort of like a reboot when putting it back to HIGH. Now remember that when using either of these, the stepper motor will have no holding power and if you move it, the position when you put it back ON will be incorrect... Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
