This video is about a quick renovation of my current small workshop. This workshop is attached to the house and it was a cowshed for some decades. In the coming months/years, the whole attached building will be replaced, so I decided to do a quick renovation of the floor and walls, just to be able to keep it clean.
Some more information about the process:
📏 After leveling with the laser level, I realized that there was so much depth to fill with mortar (sand + cement) so I pre-fill it with a sand + gravel mixture, spray with water and compact it.
🧱 After the first layer of mixture, we (my father and me) added the mortar layer. My father was in charge of mixing the sand with cement and water, and then I used a rule to level the mortar with the previously leveled master lines. The proportions for mortar were: 5 units of sand per 1 unit of cement.
🛠️ For mixing the mortar, we used an electrical hand-mixer and the wheelbarrow.
🖌️ I also painted the walls with white paint for exterior walls (as the humidity is so high in my region). And the floor with grey clorinated rubber paint (2 layers).
