Thank you for this! I lived at my band mates flat in Worksop many years ago and I walked the same streets many times. He was born and raised in Worksop and we now live in the US. Lots of places have been hit hard over the last couple of decades. Hopefully things will turn around and Worksop will thrive once again.

I've lived here for 40+ years and it's gradually decreased in popularity in the town centre. I'm surprised that you didn't bump into the local druggies through the centre as they're always around the trader clock or bus station (thankfully you didn't go that route) It's a shame it's becoming a ghost town, maybe visit during a market day if you want to see people although it's not a lot better but more variety. The first building you passed just after eyres that was boarded up used to be the ship Inn which was popular as a pub in the 80's and 90's before it closed. Many of the shops now are charity shops, pubs or food establishments. Even after all these years living here this is the first time for a while I've seen the town from top to bottom as the supermarkets around the outskirts seem to take away the business for the centre and with the price of parking in town it makes it pointless to drive in to shop at the smaller shops. Glad to see you made a video of the place hopefully the local council will see and try and bring custom back to town. Keep posting the videos they certainly show me places to visit in the future 👌🙂

Excellent video. Good to see the town so clean and tidy when you did this. It is usually busier than this though but I think with certain people hanging around, you filmed at the right time. Every time I go to town, there are some colourful characters around the Trader Clock, and I expect you'd have had a cut edit on your hands if they were there. Born and bred Worksop I am, proud of the town and history. Shame some people ruin it and the council don't seem to care that much about the shops. I used to do walkthroughs of Worksop many years ago, the videos haven't aged very well, but will probably do another one next year when I start making videos again. It won't be anywhere near the excellent quality of this though. Great work. :)

People don't visit the town due to car parking charges, a lack of shops, doorways filled with homeless people is heartbreaking, and the amount of disrespectful street drinkers that congregate daily by the clock

Please can you turn the filters off ? The enhanced reds and greens almost spoilt this otherwise good video. Would have been nice if you had continued down Newcastle avenue towards the library and beautiful gardens near the war memorial and a quick peek at the Priory. Was there any reason why you didn’t have a quick look at the precinct? Would have only taken a few minutes. Hope you take my comments constructively as they are meant. Keep up the good vids, it’s nice to see the places we hadn’t been to.
